July 1.2009 <br /> The regular meeting of the Everett City Council was celled to order at 8:30 <br /> p.m.,July 1,2009 in the City Council Chambers of the Everett City Hall, <br /> Vice President Affholter presiding.Upon roll cell it was found that Mayor <br /> Stephenson;Council Members Roberts,Olson,Gipson.and Afiholter <br /> re present. Council Members Patios,Nielsen and Stonecipher were <br /> excused. <br /> Council Member Roberts led the Pledge of Allegiance. <br /> MAYOR <br /> OATH <br /> Moved by Council Member Gipson,seconded by Council Member <br /> Roberts to concur with the appointment of Nicholas Fischer as <br /> police officer. <br /> Roll was called with all sound!members voting yes except Council <br /> Members Hatloe,Nielsen and Stonecipher who were excused. <br /> Motion cabled. <br /> The Deputy City Clerk administered his oath of office and Mayor <br /> Stephenson presented him with his badge. <br /> CITIZEN COMMENDATIONS—CRIME PREVENTION <br /> Mayor Stephenson stated that this year Administration and the Polios <br /> Department partnered to present a comprehensive crime prevention <br /> educational effort called"Project Impact"to the public.This quarter they <br /> focused efforts on teaching residents howto reduce came through the <br /> use of environmental design. He remarked that through the volunteer <br /> assistance of some local businesses and citizens they were able to make <br /> over a home in Everett. <br /> 190 <br />
