July 1,2009 <br /> Police Officer Golden introduced the individuals from the community who <br /> were involved in the program and presented them with citizen <br /> commendations: Adam Benson,General Manager,Everett Safe and <br /> Lock;David Anderson,Electrician,International Brotherhood of Electrical <br /> Workers 191;Jason Linecott,General Manager,and George Grenbeck, <br /> Product Services Associated,Lowes. <br /> PROCLAMATION—PARK AND RECREATION MONTH <br /> Mayor Stephenson proclaimed the month of July,2009 as'Park and <br /> Recreation Month.'He presented the proclamation to Richard Jordison, <br /> Vice President,Parks Board. <br /> APPOINTMENT—PUBLIC FACILITIES DISTRICT BOARD <br /> Moved by Council Member Olson,seconded by Council Member <br /> Roberts to concur with the appointment of Gigi Burke to Position No. <br /> 1,Public Facilities District Board for the remainder of an unexpired <br /> term ending December 31,2010. <br /> Roll was called with all council members voting yes except Council <br /> Members Hellos,Nielsen and Stonecipher who were excused. <br /> Motion carried. <br /> • <br /> DEMOLITION OF COLLINS BUILDING <br /> Mayor Stephenson remarked that an issue was raised at last week's <br /> council meeting regarding the demolition of the Collins Building. He <br /> stated that an further review by staff it was confirmed Nat the Building <br /> Official was required to timely issue the permit and did so last Friday.He <br /> requested that in the future the council refrain from bringing forth issues <br /> from the dais in order to provide staff,fellow council members,and the <br /> public time to rev w the issues and provide the city council with <br /> appropriate input before they act. <br /> 191 <br />
