August 5,2009 <br /> COUNCIL <br /> Council Members Atfholter,Roberts and Hatloe commented on the great <br /> Night Out Against Crime activities which they attended. <br /> Council Member Nielsen congratulated Historic Everett on their ribbon <br /> cutting ceremony for the rededication of the Snohomish County <br /> Courthouse.He stated that it included the pumper buck used to put out <br /> the fire at the previous courthouse. <br /> Council Member Roberts reported that he accompanied personnel from <br /> the PUD on a boat doing tidal power research. <br /> CITY ATTORNEY <br /> City Attorney Iles had no comment. <br /> CITIOFN COMMENTS <br /> Chuck Nelson,Trinity Lutheran College,2802 Wetmore,thanked the <br /> Mayor and council members for making Everett a pleasant place to live <br /> and work.He Invited everyone to attend the formal opening of their new <br /> school year on September 2,2009 at Trinity Episcopal Church. <br /> CONSENT ITEMS <br /> Moved by Council Member Gipson,seconded by Council Member <br /> Nielsen to approve the following consent items: <br /> RESOLUTION—CLAIMS <br /> To adopt Resolution No.6170 acknowledging the payment of audited <br /> and approved claims against the city of Everett in the amount of <br /> 52,315,852.72 for the period of July 18,2009 through July 24,2009. <br /> 221 <br />
