October 7,2009 <br /> PRESENTATION—INITIATIVE 1033 <br /> Pat McClain,Governmental Affairs,gave an overview of a November <br /> ballot measure,Initiative 1033.Hu spoke to the Implications and impacts <br /> it would have on the city of Everett budget if it should pass In November. <br /> Council Member Roberts stated that he would like to see a resolution <br /> come back to the city council fora stand on this issue. <br /> President Hatioe requested that staff prepare a resolution for action by the <br /> city council. <br /> COUNCI <br /> Coundl Member Olson requested a status report regarding adoption of <br /> the Stormwater Phase 2 Regulations. Dave Davis,Public Works, <br /> explained that the city has chosen to take advantage of additional time <br /> given to Improve the city's document.Council Member Olson requested a I_. <br /> copy of any draft proposed ordinance. <br /> He had questions regarding the Everett Performing Arts Plaza and related <br /> easement and its possible elimination. Debra Bryant Indicated she was <br /> not aware of any conversations regarding this end stated she would like to <br /> do more background work. <br /> He also requested an explanation next week regarding the basis for a <br /> change in the executive session record keeping. <br /> CITY ATTORNEY <br /> City Attorney Iles had no comment <br /> CITIZEN COMMENTS <br /> Sharon Nelson,Lowell Neighborhood,voiced a concem regarding a mini- <br /> grant for the purpose of improvement to a community garden en privately <br /> 286 <br />
