He Introduced and <br /> recognized the following employees:Sam Hartley,Chief Water Filtration <br /> Plant Operator;Bob Keller,Maintenance and Operations Supervisor for <br /> the Technical Services Group; Rick Osborn, Utility Maintenance <br /> Technician 11;and Mark Weeks,Process Analyst <br /> COUNCIL COMMENTS <br /> Council Member Stonecipher apologized for arriving late.She requested <br /> a repod regarding the Animal Shelter fee increase. <br /> Council Member Moore recognized the successful efforts regarding the <br /> EMS Levy. <br /> He stated that it would be helpful to talk about various projects including <br /> the south end library,the parks systems,and Fire Station No.3 so as to <br /> be in a better position to understand and meet the needs of all citizens. <br /> Also as future priorities are examined,he questioned what is our <br /> commitment to growth management and looking at reasonable and <br /> meaningful annexations? <br /> He complimented the Mayor and staff for briefing him regarding the • <br /> Municipal Court project. He stated that he will look forward to the open <br /> discussion next week. <br /> Council Member Gipson requested the City Attorney prepare a resolution <br /> for next week regarding a one year moratorium for any projects over <br /> $500,000.He stated the need for any public works,capital projects,and <br /> capital improvements to come before the City Council so as to discuss <br /> priorities and spending.He voiced concern that South Everett is not being <br /> served es they should be.There are also many very old sewers in the <br /> city. <br /> 113 <br />
