March 30,2011 <br /> The regular meeting of the EverettCity Council was called to order at 8:34 <br /> p.m.,March 30,2011 in the City Council Chambers of the EverettCity <br /> Hall,Council President lpresiding.Upon roll call it was found that <br /> Council Members Roberta,erts,Hagce,Gipson,Nielsen,Stonecipher and <br /> Affhager were present. Mayor Stephenson and Councilit Member Moore <br /> were excused. <br /> Council Member Hague led the Pledge of Allegiance. <br /> The minutes of the March 23,2011 Everett City Council meeting were <br /> approved as printed,with Council Member Hatice abstaining from the <br /> vote. <br /> CITY COUNCIL <br /> Council Member Gipson commented that he had seen Snohomish County <br /> Sheriffs Officers ticketing drivers within the Everett city limits,and inquired <br /> whether the revenue from fines benefits the City or the County budget '., <br /> Council Member Stonecipher requested that the inquiry be expanded to <br /> Include the State and County's standing to operate speed traps within the <br /> City limits,and the beneficiary of any revenue generated by them. <br /> CM Bryant responded that any revenue accrued to the ticketing agency, • <br /> and further Indicated that a fuller briefing would be presented to Council at <br /> a later date. <br /> PUBLIC NOTICE <br /> President Afihoiter read the following statement into the record: <br /> The Safe Accountable Flexible Efficient Transportation Equity Act A <br /> Legacy for Users,Title 23,United States Code,includes a requirement to <br /> insure public notification when a transportation project will affect a park or <br /> recreation area.The attached package is these request for the use of the <br /> De minimus 410 exemption regarding the 112 Street Corridor Completion <br /> Project,which will widen 112 Street from IS to lg.Avenue SE.This <br /> 87 <br />
