• <br /> fI <br /> October 26,2011 <br /> Laura updated the city council regarding what the City Attorney's Office <br /> Criminal Division is doing with domestic violence cases.She introduced <br /> Brie Hopkins and Hil Kaman,prosecutors who spin the DV case load. <br /> They handle approximately 1300 cases per year.She thanked the Mayor <br /> and City Council for their continued support. <br /> CITIZEN COMMENTS <br /> Michele Hoverter,Everett,brought for01 a concern regarding the possible <br /> Increase of rail traffic(coal trains)being proposed and their possible affect <br /> upon the city. <br /> Council Member Roberts responded that there has been some discussion <br /> at the Association of Cities meeting.There is a need for this issue to be <br /> addressed statewide and by the Department of Ecology. There are a <br /> number of complex issues related to this. <br /> Larry Hireta,Everett,stated that he had brought forth neighborhood <br /> issuescouple of months ago regarding a drug house,speeding and <br /> perking He thanked the Police Department and Traffic Engineering for <br /> their help in addressing those issues. <br /> Valerie Steele,Everett,was cerned that the railroad has removed <br /> trees along West Marine View and the possible impact on the slope. <br /> Jim Iles,Cky Attorney,related that over the years the city has had to deal <br /> with this issue.
