One Assistant Superintendent of Communications <br /> Department; two First Class Technicians; one Fire Marshall; <br /> one Assistant Fire Marshal; one Master Mechanic; one <br /> Assistant Mechanic; eighteen Captains, one Captain <br /> Inspector; one Captain Drillmaster; thirty-eight Fifth Year <br /> Pipemen; one Fourth Year Pipeman; two Third Year Pipemen; <br /> eight Second Year Pipemen; five first year pipemen; one <br /> pipemen assigned to general maintenance; one Secretary. <br /> It shall be the duty of such officers and assistants in <br /> le said department to perform the duties indicated by the name of <br /> their employment, and such other duties as the Chi' of the Fire <br /> Department or Commissioner of Safety may authorize and direct. <br /> 1 (1.16.150) <br /> SECTION 15: FIRE HYDRANT DEPARTMENT <br /> There shall be the following named employee in the Fire <br /> Hydrant Department, to-wit: <br /> One Hydrant Repairman. <br /> It shall be the duty of such employee to perform the <br /> duties indicated by the name of his employment and such other <br /> duties as the Chief of the Fire Department or Commissioner of <br /> Safety may authorize and direct. (1.16.160) <br /> SECTION 16: COMMUNICATIONS DEPARTMENT <br /> There shall be the following named employees in the <br /> Fire and Police Communications Department, to-wit: <br /> One Second Class Technician and one Third Class <br /> Technician; five Second Class Dispatchers; two or <br /> more Day Laborers . <br /> It shall be the duty of such employees to perform the <br /> duties indicated by the name of their employment and such other <br /> duties as the Chief of the Fire Department or Commissioner of <br /> Safety may authorize and direct. (1.16.170) <br /> SECTION 17: STREET PAINTING DEPARTMENT <br /> There shall be the following named employees in the <br /> Street Painting Department, to-wit: <br /> One Street Painter; three Assistant Street Painters <br /> It shall be the duty of such employees to perform the <br /> duties indicated by the name of their employment and such other <br /> duties as the Commissioner of Safety and the Chief of Police <br /> shall from time to time authorize and direct . (1.16.180) <br /> SECTION 18: CITY ENGINEER DEPARTMENT <br /> There shall be the following named officers, deputies, <br /> assistants and employees in the office of the City Engineer, <br /> to-wit: <br /> One City Engineer; one Principal Engineer; one Office <br /> Engineer; one construction Engineer; two Senior Engineers; <br /> one Assistant Engineer; four Junior Engineers; six Senior <br /> Engineering Aides; five Engineering Aides; one Clerk; and one. <br /> or more Inspectors . <br /> —4— <br />
