"Open space,public" means an area that is visible and accessible to the public, but may be designed for the use
<br /> and enjoyment of the development.
<br /> "Plat"is a map or representation of a subdivision,showing thereon the division of a tract or parcel of land into
<br /> lots, blocks,streets and alleys,or other divisions and dedications.
<br /> "Plat,final"is the final drawing of the subdivision and dedication prepared for filing for record with the county
<br /> auditor and containing all elements and requirements set forth in this chapter and in local regulations adopted
<br /> under this chapter.
<br /> "Plat,preliminary"is a neat and approximate drawing of a proposed subdivision showing the general layout of
<br /> streets and alleys,lots, blocks,and other elements of a subdivision consistent with the requirements of this
<br /> chapter.The preliminary plat shall be the basis for the approval or disapproval of the general layout of a
<br /> subdivision.
<br /> "Porch"means a roofed shelter, usually open at the sides,projecting from the face of a building and used to
<br /> protect the entrance to a building;a carport is not considered a porch.
<br /> "Short plat"is the map or representation of a short subdivision.
<br /> "Short subdivision" means the division or redivision of land into nine or fewer lots,tracts, parcels,sites or divisions
<br /> for the purpose of sale, lease,or transfer of ownership.
<br /> "Stoop"means a small stair, landing or ramp connecting a building entrance to a walkway or sidewalk.
<br /> "Street facing dwelling unit facade",means a ground or first floor of a dwelling unit façade facing,and within
<br /> thirty(30)feet,of a front or side-street lot line on a public street.
<br /> "Structure"means a combination of materials constructed or erected on or under the ground, or attached to
<br /> something having a permanent location on or under the ground.
<br /> "Structured Parking" means a structure in which vehicle parking is accommodated on multiple stories or floors.
<br /> "Subdivision" means the division or redivision of land into ten or more lots,tracts, parcels,sites or divisions for the
<br /> purpose of sale,lease,or transfer of ownership.
<br /> "Swale"means a shallow drainage conveyance with relatively gentle side slopes,generally with flow depths less
<br /> than one foot.
<br /> "Tiny home","tiny house"or"tiny house with wheels"has the same meaning as set forth in RCW 35.21.686,
<br /> which is a dwelling to be used as permanent housing with permanent provisions for living,sleeping,eating,
<br /> cooking,and sanitation built in accordance with the state building code.
<br /> "Tiny house communities" has the same meaning as set forth in RCW 35.21.686,which is real property rented or
<br /> held out for rent to others for the placement of tiny houses with wheels or tiny houses utilizing the binding site
<br /> plan process in RCW 58.17.035.
<br /> "Tower"means any structure that is designed and constructed primarily for the purpose of supporting one or
<br /> more antennas,including self-supporting lattice towers,guy towers or monopole towers.The term encompasses
<br /> personal wireless service facilities towers,microwave towers,common-carrier towers,cellular telephone towers,
<br /> personal communications services tower,alternative tower structures,and other similar structures,and its
<br /> attendant base station.
<br /> "Townhouses",also called"single-family,attached",are buildings joined at the side by a common wall. Each
<br /> dwelling has up to two or three stories and no dwellings are placed over another. Each dwelling has individual and
<br /> direct pedestrian access to the street and typically contains some private open space in the front and back.A
