CITY OF EVERETT SPECIAL PROVISIONS <br /> service costs. Contractor agrees that City shall deduct such charges from payments <br /> due the Contractor. It is further understood and agreed that none of the services <br /> performed by the City's Representative in monitoring, reviewing and reporting Project <br /> status and progress shall relieve the Contractor of responsibility for planning and <br /> managing construction Work in conformance with the construction schedule. <br /> 1-08.4(2) Work Sequencing <br /> (******) <br /> The intention of construction sequencing requirements and constraints is <br /> • To limit the size of the area disrupted by construction at any one time, <br /> • To limit impacts to local institutions, residents and businesses and, <br /> • To ensure that restoration occurs within a reasonable timeframe following <br /> pipeline installation. <br /> The work, as depicted on the plans and details and as described in the General <br /> Description and Location of Project at the beginning of Division 1, shall be constructed <br /> in a pre-planned sequence developed by the Contractor and shown in detail on the <br /> construction schedule as defined in Section 1-08.3. Pipelines shall be constructed <br /> beginning at the downstream end and progressing upstream. <br /> 1-08.4(3) Special Construction Constraints <br /> (******) <br /> Refer to 1-08.0(2) for work hours. <br /> Refer to 1-07.23(1) for construction under traffic and 1.07.23(1)A for general traffic <br /> requirements. The following topics will be addressed in more detail at the pre- <br /> construction meeting: <br /> 1. Schedule and accomplish the improvements so that the grant-eligible work is <br /> completed no later than June 30, 2021. <br /> 2. Initiate ordering of"long-lead-time" materials and products early in the schedule <br /> to avoid delays, <br /> 3. Accomplish the bore and jack crossing of East Marine View Drive as early in <br /> the project schedule as possible. <br /> 4. Contractor shall coordinate with Everett Parks Department regarding work within <br /> or adjacent to Jackson Park. <br /> 5. Contractor shall coordinate with Everett M&O supervisors regarding work in the <br /> vicinity of the new treatment units. <br /> 6. Contractor may utilize a portion of the parking lot at Jackson Park baseball field <br /> for construction staging area. See plans. Upon completion, contractor shall <br /> restore the site to a condition equal to, or better than original condition. <br /> 7. Contractor may utilize a portion of a fenced (secure) City-owned site in the <br /> vicinity of the new treatment units. See plans. Upon completion, contractor shall <br /> restore the site to a condition equal to, or better than original condition. <br /> Upon completion of pipe installation and trench backfilling to specifications, promptly <br /> restore street, driveway and sidewalk surfaces using Temporary Pavement Patch in <br /> accordance with Section 5-06.3(6) TEMPORARY PAVEMENT PATCHING and permit <br /> public use and access for City inspection activities. <br /> Jackson Park Area Stormwater Separation <br /> WO No—UP3703 Division 1 —GENERAL REQUIREMENTS September 2020 <br /> SP—99 <br />
