CITY OF EVERETT SPECIAL PROVISIONS <br /> Apply fertilizer at a rate of 12 pounds per 1,000 square feet, except as specified <br /> below. <br /> In areas being restored with rough seed mix, apply fertilizer at of the type and <br /> at the rate specified below: <br /> Lesco granular Iron Plus Elite or approved equal at 5 pounds per 1,000 <br /> square feet and Lesco 18-24-12 Professional Starter Fertilizer or approved <br /> equal at 6.9 pounds per 1,000 square feet and "Milorganite" or approved <br /> equal at 14 pounds per 1,000 square feet. <br /> For hydroseeding application, incorporate the fertilizer into the seed, mulch and <br /> water slurry and apply in accordance with these Special Provisions. <br /> 8-01.3(2)D Mulching <br /> Supplement 8-01.3(2)D by adding the following: <br /> Apply wood cellulose fiber at the rate of 60 pounds per 1,000 square feet. <br /> 8-01.3(9) Sediment Control Barriers <br /> 8-01.3(9)A2 Silt Fence <br /> Delete the third paragraph in 8-01.3(9)A2 and substitute the following: <br /> Provide steel posts consisting of U, T, L or C shape posts with a minimum <br /> weight of 1.35 lbs/ft, or other steel posts having equivalent strength and <br /> bending resistance to the posts listed. Provide silt fence conforming to COE <br /> Standard Drawings 212 and 214. <br /> 8-01.3(15) Maintenance <br /> Delete the fifth paragraph of 8-01.3(15). <br /> 8-01.3(16) Removal <br /> Revise the first paragraph of 8-01.3(16) to read as follows: <br /> The Contractor shall remove all temporary BMP's and all associated hardware <br /> from the project limits prior to Physical Completion unless otherwise approved <br /> by the Engineer. <br /> 8-01.4 Measurement <br /> Delete all paragraphs in 8-01.4 and substitute the following: <br /> Bid items of Work completed pursuant to the Contract Documents will be measured as <br /> described in Division B — Bid Item Descriptions of these Special Provisions and Section <br /> 1-09 MEASUREMENT AND PAYMENT of the Standard Specifications. <br /> 8-01.5 Payment <br /> Delete all paragraphs in 8-01.5 and substitute the following: <br /> Payment for bid items of Work completed pursuant to the Contract Documents will be <br /> as described in Division B — Bid Item Descriptions of these Special Provisions and <br /> Section 1-09 MEASUREMENT AND PAYMENT of the Standard Specifications. <br /> 8-02 ROADSIDE RESTORATION <br /> 8-02.3 Construction Requirements <br /> Supplement 8-02.3 by adding the following: <br /> 8-02.3(17) Landscape Restoration <br /> Restore all disturbed areas to original condition or better.
