CITY OF EVERETT SPECIAL PROVISIONS <br /> Further supplement 1-02.4(1) by adding the following: <br /> 1-02.4(1)A Interpretation of Contract Documents <br /> Should a Bidder find what is believed to be discrepancies in or omissions from the <br /> Plans, Specifications, or Special Provisions, or should the Bidder be in doubt as to <br /> their meaning, Bidder may submit to the Engineer a written request for an <br /> interpretation thereof. The Bidder submitting the request will be responsible for its <br /> prompt delivery. Any interpretation of the documents, if made, will be made only by <br /> addendum duly issued and a copy of such addendum will be mailed or delivered to <br /> each Bidder receiving a set of such documents. All requests for interpretations <br /> must be received by the City or Engineer no later than 7 calendar days prior <br /> to the Proposal opening date. All questions regarding the Contract Documents <br /> shall be referred to the City or Engineer at the address provided in the Contract <br /> Documents. <br /> 1-02.4(1)B Prevailing Wages <br /> (******) <br /> Bidder is directed to 1-07.9(1) of these Special Provisions for requirements <br /> regarding applying payment of prevailing wage rates for employment of labor on <br /> within Snohomish County. <br /> 1-02.4(2) Subsurface Information <br /> Delete the first paragraph and substitute the following: <br /> If the City has made subsurface investigation of the site of the proposed Work, the <br /> boring log data and soil sample test data accumulated by the City will be made <br /> available for inspection by the Bidders. The boring logs and soil sample test data <br /> shall NOT be considered as part of the Contract. In addition, the City makes no <br /> representation or warranty expressed or implied that: <br /> 1. The Bidders' interpretations from the boring logs are correct, <br /> 2. Moisture conditions and indicated water tables will not vary from those <br /> found at the time the borings were made, and <br /> 3. The ground at the location of the borings has not been physically <br /> disturbed or altered after the boring was made. <br /> Supplement 1-02.4(2) by adding the following: <br /> Information pertaining to subsurface geotechnical conditions, groundwater, <br /> excavation shoring and dewatering at the project site can be found in Appendix A. <br /> 1-02.5 Proposal Form <br /> Delete this section and substitute the following: <br /> The Proposal Form identifies the project and its location and describes the work. It also <br /> lists estimated quantities, units of measurement, the items of work, and the materials to <br /> be furnished at the unit bid prices. The Bidder shall complete spaces on the proposal <br /> form that call for, and are not limited to, unit prices; extensions; summations; the total <br /> bid amount; signatures; date; and, where applicable, retail sales taxes and <br /> acknowledgment of addenda; the bidder's name, address, telephone number, and <br /> signature; the bidder's UDBE/DBE/M/WBE commitment, if applicable; a State of <br /> Washington Contractor's Registration Number; and a Business License Number, if <br /> applicable. Bids shall be completed by typing or shall be printed in ink by hand, <br /> preferably in black ink.
