Per NEC 110.26(C)(2), a single entrance and egress are permitted where either <br /> of the following conditions in 110.26(C)(2)(a) or (C)(2)(b) is met. <br /> i. 110.26 (C)(2)(a): a continuous and unobstructed way of egress travel. <br /> ii. 110.26 (C)(2)(b): where the depth of the working space is twice that <br /> required by 110.26 (A)(1). <br /> iii. Both above conditions are met. Refer to Electrical for equipment layout. <br /> Two-way communication should be shown at the landing serving the elevator on each <br /> floor that is one or more stories above or below the level of exit discharge. Section <br /> 1009.8 <br /> a. System requirements as specified by Section 1009.8.1 should be specified. <br /> b. Directions on the use of the system should be specified per Section 1009.8.2 <br /> i. Add two-way communication at each stair. Add keynote #12 — `Rescue <br /> assistance annunciator. Final fire protection package will be a deferred submittal. <br /> Raised character and braille exit signs should be shown at the exit stairways and exit <br /> discharge locations per Section 1013.4 <br /> a. Raised character and braille exit signs add on all A3 series drawings. Keynote <br /> #14 at sheet A3.5a &A3.5b refer to detail 20/A10.1. <br /> Accessibility <br /> A minimum of two van accessible parking stalls should be shown on the plans. Section <br /> 1106.5 <br /> a. Identify two van accessible parking stalls in the garage. First van accessible <br /> parking stall is located on the 1st-floor parking (P1) at the northwest corner; <br /> second van accessible parking stall is located on the 2nd-floor parking south of <br /> north stair. <br /> It should be verified that there is a minimum vertical clearance provided in the parking <br /> garage to and from the accessible van stalls. ANSI Section 502.6 <br /> a. Confirm 98" minimum vertical clearance at the accessible van stall. Add <br /> keynote #13 on sheet A3.3 and A3.3a. All duct and pipe to be located above <br /> minimum vertical clearance. <br /> The accessible shower in Unit 643 should be shown with a shower seat. ANSI Section <br /> 608.2.2.3 <br /> a. Add shower seat in the accessible shower at Unit type 643. Refer to sheet A2.1. <br /> The accessible showers in the Type A units should be shown with thresholds in <br /> accordance with ANSI Section 608.6. <br /> a. All ADA unit shower (unit type 474, 643 & 870) is Sterling model 62060103 or <br /> Eq. with transition ramp in front to have max. 1/2" high threshold.
