RFP #2020-073 • CITY OF EVERETT PARKS, RECREATION & OPEN SPACE PLAN <br />a <br />Informed and Inspired: Our work provides expert and telling demographic, <br />environmental, physical, and financial conditions and trends to inform the public and <br />decisionmakers, while at the same time emphasizing the possible and inspired ways to <br />improve, expand, and leverage the parks and recreation system <br />Implamentable: We create plans that are graphic rich and readable, organized to <br />illustrate clear and logical phases for funding and implementation in the short-, medium-, <br />and long-term. <br />Phases and Tasks <br />Our phases and tasks are drawn from the RFP and our experience with many PROS plans. <br />Our key phases and tasks are illustrated in the diagram below and detailed by number on <br />the pages that follow. <br />Funding and <br />Partners <br />Evaluation <br />Visiymng & <br />Engagement <br />Task 0. BERK staff will conduct a kick-off meeting with the City's project <br />management team to review a draft project management plan which will include the scope <br />and timeline, City and consultant team roles, and communication protocols for the project <br />The kick-off meeting will also review the outreach strategy and identify key stakeholders. To <br />provide a foundation for the analysis, BERK will assess existing available data and identify <br />any information needs. <br />As part of the kick-off meeting, we also propose a tour of facility, park and trail sites, <br />conducted in -person or through a coordinated set of individual windshield tours if social <br />distancing practices are still in place. <br />NI PROPOSAL • SUBMITTED OCTOBER 27, 2020 13 <br />
