This amendment <br />is to add an additional $82,344 for changes to the project scope. This results in a new <br />amount for the contract, not to exceed $247,898. <br />Project summary statement: <br />At the March 18, 2020 City Council meeting, the council authorized the Mayor to sign a <br />professional services agreement with Nelson\Nygaard Consulting. <br />At the August 19, 2020 City Council briefing, staff summarized the project's Phase 1 <br />outreach and presented the next steps for Phase 2 of the Rethink Transit project. <br />Everett Transit and other city staff, the consultant team and Community Transit have <br />collaborated on the technical analysis of the three options and will jointly present their <br />findings to City Council in January 2021. <br />Final public outreach will occur in January and February of 2021 and the results will be <br />shared in the final project report to City Council by April 2021. <br />The analysis is intended to provide City Council with the necessary information to help <br />identify a preferred and back up option for the future provision of local transit service <br />within and through Everett. <br />Recommendation (exact action requested of Council): <br />Authorize the Mayor to approve the revised Scope of Work and sign Amendment No. 1 <br />to the Professional Services Agreement between Nelson\Nygaard Consulting and the <br />City of Everett for Phase 2 of the Rethink Transit project. <br />
