Location: Preceding action: Professional Services Agreement — March 18, 2020 Fund: 425 Transportation Services Fiscal summary statement: Funding for this project will be from Fund 425 Transportation Services. This amendment is to add an additional $82,344 for changes to the project scope. This results in a new amount for the contract, not to exceed $247,898. Project summary statement: At the March 18, 2020 City Council meeting, the council authorized the Mayor to sign a professional services agreement with Nelson\Nygaard Consulting. At the August 19, 2020 City Council briefing, staff summarized the project's Phase 1 outreach and presented the next steps for Phase 2 of the Rethink Transit project. Everett Transit and other city staff, the consultant team and Community Transit have collaborated on the technical analysis of the three options and will jointly present their findings to City Council in January 2021. Final public outreach will occur in January and February of 2021 and the results will be shared in the final project report to City Council by April 2021. The analysis is intended to provide City Council with the necessary information to help identify a preferred and back up option for the future provision of local transit service within and through Everett. Recommendation (exact action requested of Council): Authorize the Mayor to approve the revised Scope of Work and sign Amendment No. 1 to the Professional Services Agreement between Nelson\Nygaard Consulting and the City of Everett for Phase 2 of the Rethink Transit project.
