The estimated construction cost is <br />approximately $1,400,000. <br />Project summary statement: SEI (South -End Interceptor) to SRI (Snohomish River <br />Interceptor) are existing parallel, large -diameter pipes (48" and 72' diameter <br />respectively) extending from 36th St. to the Water Pollution Control Facility (WPCF) <br />including a crossing at the Snohomish River. SEI conveys all sewer flows from south - <br />Everett (separated) and the SRI conveys wet weather combined sewer flows. This project <br />will construct a 30" diameter pipe connection between these two interceptors. The <br />intertie connection will primarily enable City Maintenance and Operations to perform <br />repairs, inspection or maintenance of the 48" SEI pipeline and enables other sewer <br />conveyance improvements to be performed. <br />The SRO8 (Snohomish River Outfall 8) is over 100 years old and is badly deteriorated. <br />This project will rehabilitate the pipe by trenchless methods to restore its reliability and <br />provide improvements for future inspection and maintenance. <br />Recommendation (exact action requested of Council): Authorize call for bids for <br />construction of SEI to SRI Intertie and SRO8 Rehabilitation project. <br />
