Contractor's Warranty: Submit roofing Installer's warranty, in writing, signed by Installer, <br /> covering Work of this Section, including all components of roofing membrane, base flashing, <br /> roof insulation, adhesive fastener, coverboard, vapor retarders, walkway products and <br /> flashings, to perform in a watertight manner and free of defect for the following warranty <br /> period: <br /> 1. Warranty Period: Two(2)years from date of Substantial Completion. <br /> 1.09 DEMOLITION <br /> A. Owner may occupy the buildings during the roof replacement project. Coordinate demolition <br /> with the CTPM. <br /> B. Regulatory Requirements: <br /> 1. Comply with governing EPA and PSAPCA notification regulations before starting <br /> demolition. Comply with hauling and disposal regulations of authority having jurisdiction. <br /> 2. Refer to Limited Hazardous Materials Survey Report prepared by EHS International. <br /> Conform to WISHA and Puget Sound Clean Air Agency (PSCAA) regulations related to <br /> removal and disposal of any asbestos containing materials. <br /> 1.10 PRODUCT DELIVERY, STORAGE, AND HANDLING <br /> A. Delivery: Material shall be delivered to Project site in the manufacturer's original sealed and <br /> labeled containers and in quantities sufficient to allow continuity of application. Labels shall <br /> clearly indicate manufacturers name, product brand name and type, date of manufacture, and <br /> directions for storing and mixing with other components. <br /> B. Storage: Obtain permission from a Structural Engineer for roof top storage. If roof top <br /> storage of materials is used, do not exceed the allowable load for the structure. Handle and <br /> store roofing materials and place equipment in a manner to avoid permanent deflection of <br /> deck. Place all materials on pallets and fully protected from moisture. <br /> C. Handling: Material shall be handled in such a manner as to preclude damage and <br /> contamination with moisture or foreign matter. <br /> D. Store liquid materials in their original undamaged containers in a clean, dry, protected <br /> location and within the temperature range required by roofing system manufacturer. Protect <br /> stored liquid material from direct sunlight. <br /> 1. Discard and legally dispose of liquid material that cannot be applied within its stated shelf <br /> life. <br /> E. All flammable materials shall be stored in a cool, dry area away from sparks and open <br /> flames. Follow precautions outlined on containers or supplied by material <br /> manufacturer/supplier. <br /> F. Protect insulation and roofing materials from physical damage and from deterioration by <br /> sunlight, moisture, soiling, and other sources. Store in a dry location. Comply with <br /> manufacturer's written instructions for handling, storing, and protecting during installation. <br /> The manufacturer wrapping will not be considered sufficient weather protection. <br /> G. All materials which are determined to be damaged by the Owner Representative or the <br /> manufacturer are to be removed from the job site and replaced at no cost to the Owner. <br /> Construction Documents <br /> 07500-4 <br />
