Single ply membranes are slippery when wet or covered with snow, frost, or ice. Working on <br /> surfaces under these conditions is hazardous. Appropriate safety measures must be <br /> implemented prior to working on such surfaces. Always follow OSHA and other relevant fall <br /> protection standards when working on roofs. <br /> PART 2 -PRODUCTS <br /> 2.01 MATERIALS <br /> A. Provide products complying with requirements of the contract documents and made by one of the <br /> following: <br /> 1. Sika Sarnafil (Sarnafil 60-mil PVC fully adhered membrane over mechanically attached <br /> coverboard and insulation). <br /> 2. Seaman Corporation (FiberTite-XT KEE 50-mil fully adhered membrane over mechanically <br /> attached coverboard and insulation). <br /> 3. Burke Industries (Hypalon CSPE 60-mil fully adhered membrane over mechanically attached <br /> coverboard and insulation). <br /> 2.02 SINGLE PLY ROOFING MEMBRANE <br /> A. Sika Sarnafil Inc.: G410 Fully Adhered, PVC sheet not less than 0.060 inches (60 mils)thick. <br /> 1. Color: Grey. <br /> 2. Reinforcement: Fiberglass <br /> 3. Minimum Properties, PVC: ASTM D 4434,Type II or Type Ill <br /> 4. Sheet Flashing: G410 Fully Adhered, PVC sheet not less than 0.060 inches (60 mils)thick. <br /> Utilize G459 Membrane where installed over asphalt residue. <br /> B. Seaman Corporation: FiberTite-XT Fully Adhered (KEE modified PVC) membrane, 0.050 inches <br /> (50 mils)thick. <br /> 1. Color: Grey. <br /> 2. Reinforcement: Polyester reinforcing scrim. <br /> 3. Minimum Properties, KEE: ASTM D 6754-02. <br /> 4. Sheet Flashing: Manufacturers standard sheet flashing of same material, type, reinforcement, <br /> thickness, and color as single ply filed sheet membrane. <br /> C. Burke Industries: Fully Adhered CSPE (Hypalon) membrane, 0.060 inches (60 mils thick). <br /> 1. Color: White on exposed face, black on back face. <br /> 2. Reinforcement: Polyester reinforcing scrim. <br /> 3. Sheet Flashing: At parapet walls, curbs, and roof-to-wall transitions, manufacturers standard <br /> sheet flashing of same material, type, reinforcement, thickness, and color as single ply field <br /> sheet membrane.
