• <br /> KP Roof Repairs and Roof Improvements Project Section 07500 <br /> Community Transit, ITB#2019-028 Single Ply Membrane <br /> 2.03 AUXILLARY MATERIALS <br /> A. General: Auxiliary materials recommended by roofing system manufacturer for intended use <br /> and compatible with membrane roofing for complete roofing system. Accessories include, <br /> but are not limited to the products listed below or shown in the detail sheets. <br /> 1. Liquid-type auxiliary materials shall meet VOC limits of authorities having jurisdiction. <br /> B. Single Ply Gutter Liners(KP-C South Canopy and KP Fuel Island): FiberTite 50 mil XT, Sika <br /> Sarnafil 48 mil G410, or Burke Hypalon 45 mil (utilizing unsupported sheet at transitions). <br /> Color: Matching field membrane. <br /> C. Membrane Bonding Adhesive: Manufacturer's standard approved bonding adhesive for fully <br /> adhering roof membrane and base flashing to prepared substrates and projections. <br /> 1. Sarnafil Sarnacol Adhesive: A solvent-based reactivating-type adhesive used to attach <br /> membrane to substrate, either horizontally or vertically, as recommended by the <br /> manufacturer. <br /> 2. Fibertite and Burke Adhesive: As recommended by the manufacturer for the <br /> environmental conditions. <br /> D. Mechanical Fasteners (for coverboard): Corrosion resistant screws and three (3) inch plates <br /> as approved by the roofing system materials manufacturer, Buildex Roof Grip #14, or <br /> comparable. All screws should be of length to penetrate through the underside of the sheet <br /> metal deck (upper flutes only) a minimum three-quarter (s ) inch and no more than one and <br /> one(1) inch. <br /> E. Metal Termination Bars: Manufacturer's standard predrilled stainless-steel or aluminum bars, <br /> approximately 1 by 1/8 inch (25 by 3'mm)thick;with anchors. <br /> F. Solvent: Manufacturer approved high quality membrane cleaner used for the general cleaning <br /> of residual asphalt, scuff marks, etc., from the membrane surface. Also used daily to clean <br /> seam areas prior to hot-air welding. <br /> G. Miscellaneous Accessories: Preformed cone and vent sheet flashings, preformed inside and <br /> outside corner sheet flashings, T-joint covers, termination reglets, cover strips, and other <br /> accessories, as required by the roof system manufacturer for a complete and water-tight <br /> installation. <br /> H. Sealant: Manufacturer approved sealant such as Sikaflex-1a or equivalent, as approved for <br /> direct contact with single ply membrane. <br /> I. Sealant for Tilt-Up Concrete Panel Joints (New Roof-to-Existing Concrete Rising Wall <br /> Transition, KP-C South Canopy): High-grade two component, non-sag urethane-based <br /> product such as Sikaflex 2c-NS, or equivalent. Use Namaco Sof Rod, or approved backer <br /> rod, where required for a proper sealant joint. Provide manufacturer approved joint cleaner <br /> and substrate primer. <br /> J. Splash Pads: Where downspouts from upper roof areas discharge onto lower roof areas <br /> where new single ply membrane will be installed, provide manufacturer's approved walk pad <br /> (2 feet x 4 feet) heat welded to the surface of the single ply roofing beneath the point of <br /> discharge. Provide pre-cast concrete splash pads for downspout discharge locations where <br /> discharging onto paved grade. <br /> Construction Documents 07500-70-1Th'? <br />
