Clean seam areas and overlap and firmly roll sheet fleshings into the adhesive. Weld side <br /> and end laps to ensure a watertight seam installation. <br /> E. Terminate and seal top of sheet flashings and mechanically anchor to substrate through <br /> termination bars. <br /> F. All flashing membranes shall be consistently adhered to substrates. All interior and exterior <br /> corners and miters shall be pre-formed and hot-air welded into place. <br /> 3.14 REINFORCED FLUID APPLIED FLASHING INSTALLATION <br /> A. Clean and prepare metal surfaces to near white metal with an appropriate power tool. <br /> Remove all paint, rust, and contaminants down to clean steel. <br /> B. Wipe metal and rigid plastic surfaces with manufacturer's approved cleaner and allow to dry. <br /> C. All surfaces to receive reinforced fluid applied flashing shall be clean, dry, free of dirt, dust, <br /> debris, loose particles, loose paint, and other contaminants. <br /> D. Clean the single ply membrane a minimum 12 inches around the penetration using a non- <br /> solvent based cleaner such as Simple Green or Orange DEP. <br /> E. Prime surfaces in accordance with the manufacturer's instructions, and allow to fully cure (dry <br /> to the touch). <br /> F. Mix and install reinforced fluid applied flashing in accordance with the manufacturer's <br /> instructions. <br /> 3.15 TEMPORARY ROOF DRAINAGE <br /> A. The Contractor shall be responsible for providing temporary drainage and/or mechanical <br /> devises (pumps) for water removal during the roofing project as necessary to prevent <br /> standing water from accumulating on the vapor retarder/temporary roof. <br /> 3.16 KP-C South Shed Roof-to-Tilt-Up Concrete Wall, Vertical Joints: <br /> A. KP-C South Shed Roof-to-Tilt-Up Concrete Wall, Vertical Joints: Install appropriate size <br /> back-up material. Install new sealant to full and proper configuration, firmly contacting joint <br /> surfaces. Tool sealant with one continuous stroke, providing concave, smooth, and uniform <br /> sealant finish. Do not use water, soap, or alcohol to facilitate tooling. Once sealant is cured, <br /> reinstall existing downspouts and sheet metal flashings, and reseal. <br /> 3.17 FIELD QUALITY CONTROL <br /> A. Owner will engage a qualified independent inspecting agency to perform roof inspections and <br /> to prepare test reports. <br /> B. Final Roof Inspection: Arrange for roofing system manufacturer's technical personnel to <br /> inspect roofing installation on completion and submit report to Architect. <br /> 1. Notify Architect or Owner forty eight(48) hours in advance of date and time of inspection. <br /> C. Repair or remove and replace components of membrane roofing system where test results or <br /> inspections indicate that they do not comply with specified requirements. <br /> Construction Documents f�) 2/l3 <br /> 07500-12 <br />
