Basis-of-Design Wall Panel Product: Factory formed prefinished through fastened wall panel, <br /> match existing sheet metal wall panel profile. AEP Span Reverse PBR Panel or approved <br /> equal. <br /> 5. Exterior finish: PVDF(Kynar 500), color to be chosen by the CT-PM <br /> 6. Panel gauge: 24 gauge <br /> 7. Panel width: 36 inch <br /> 8. Panel height: 1%inch <br /> C. Panel Accessories: Provide components required for complete, weathertight panel system, <br /> including fasteners, trim, copings, fascia, closures, transition flashings, sealant, closure strip, <br /> and sealant, as necessary to provide a complete, weather-tight system. <br /> D. Panel Fasteners: As recommended and approved by the sheet metal panel manufacturer, <br /> meeting project uplift resistance requirements. Screws shall be self-tapping, a high-dome, <br /> neoprene gasketed, hex head type, or incorporate a washer with a laminated neoprene <br /> gasket. Factory applied coating shall match the color of the sheet metal panels. <br /> E. Sealant: High-grade urethane-based product such as Sikaflex Ia, or equivalent. Use <br /> Namaco Sof Rod, or approved backer rod, where required for a proper sealant joint. <br /> F. Mastic Tape: Pressure sensitive, 100 percent solids,gray polyisobutylene compound sealant <br /> tape with release-paper backing, as recommended by the sheet metal panel manufacturer. <br /> G. Foam closure strips: Provided by the sheet metal panel manufacturer, matching new sheet <br /> metal panel profiles. Adhere foam closures in approved sealant. <br /> PART 3 FABRICATION/INSTALLATION <br /> 3.01 General <br /> A. Fabricate and finish metal panels and accessories at the factory, by the manufacturer's <br /> standard procedures and processes, as necessary to fulfill indicated performance <br /> requirements. <br /> B. All installation shall be within accordance of the manufacturer'.s written installation instructions <br /> and these specifications. Where in conflict, utilize most stringent guideline. <br /> C. Provide panel profile, including major ribs, and intermediate stiffening ribs for full length of <br /> panel. <br /> D. Examine the substrate and the conditions under which the work is to be performed, and do not <br /> proceed until unsatisfactory conditions have been corrected. Surfaces to receive sheet metal <br /> are to be clean, even, smooth, dry, and free from defects and projections that might adversely <br /> affect the application. Verify slope prior to installation. <br /> E. Work shall be accurately formed to sizes, shapes, and dimensions indicated with all angles <br /> and lines in true alignment. All work shall be straight, sharp, and erected plumb and level in <br /> proper plane without bulges or waves. Conform to recommendations of SMACNA. <br /> F. Fabricate all items in maximum length and keep the number of joints to a minimum. <br /> G.
