( (_
2. The adequacy of streets, utilities and public services required to serve a
proposed use.
Finding: The proposed facility will be located on the roof of an existing hospital
building. Associated electronic equipment would be located within the interior of
the building. The facility will require an electric power connection. The facility
would not create a demand for public services.
Conclusion: Adequate provisions for access, utilities and public services for the
proposal can be accommodated.
3. The impact of traffic generated by the proposed use on the surrounding area,
pedestrian circulation and public safety; and the ability of the proponent to
mitigate such potential impacts.
Finding: The proposal may generate some minimal traffic associated with the
initial installation and set-up. I lowever, once the facility is operating,no on-
going traffic will be generated, other than occasional maintenance trips
(approximately one visit per month).
Conclusion: There will be no adverse traffic impacts generated by the proposal.
4. The provision of adequate off-street parking,on-site circulation,and site
access.
Finding: No permanent on-site parking is required for the proposal. The
associated electrical equipment would be located within the building interior and
would not eliminate any parking stalls.
Conclusion: Not applicable.
5. Compatibility of proposed structures and improvements with surrounding
properties, including the size, height, location, setback and arrangement of
all proposed buildings and facilities, especially as they relate to light and
shadow impacts on more sensitive land uses and less intensive zones.
Findings: The proposed wireless communication facility(WCF)would include
additional wireless communication antennas and supporting equipment. The site
is located at the on the east side of Colby Avenue between 13'h and 14'h Streets.
The existing hospital is located in an R-2-I zone and is surrounded by single-
family residences and some duplexes. There are other existing wireless
communication facilities located on the hospital roof, the most recent of which is
owned and operated by Clcarwire(SPU #09-005).
The project would result in placement of additional antennas on the roof of the
hospital. The application does not reference whether the antenna shrouds or
associated chbling would be painted or colored to match the building exterior.
