This includes the <br /> north wall of Room B328. <br /> Existing: <br /> 1. The door schedule is included in the Specification,submitted along with the drawings,in <br /> Division 08000 Doors and Windows. It is the first item in this section. A revised door <br /> schedule,incorporating the required modifications made necessary per the City of <br /> Everett's comments,has been included herein <br /> 2. The occupancy separation for the suite of rooms in area 3C occurs east/west through the <br /> center of the space near column grid BC. The Coiling fire shutter,door C341 is currently <br /> called out to be a 60-minute assembly. Doors B350,C317,C319,C321,C327,C348 have <br /> all been changed to 60-minute assemblies. Please see the attached revised Door Schedule. <br /> 3. UBC Section 3082.2.1 was written to address egress issues that arise out of placing doors <br /> across exit pathways. The opposite swinging doors allow egress to occur in both <br /> directions. Door C343 and the existing door at the west end of corridor C301 are <br /> circulation barriers and have been positioned to open in the direction of egress. <br /> • Required egress from area BE is east to Stair 5 or west to Stair 3. <br /> • Egress from Corridor C303 is to the north to Stair 7 and to the south to Stair 3. <br /> • Egress from corridor C343 is east to Stair 6 or west to Stairs 7 or 3. <br /> 4. Please see our response to Occupancy item#4. <br /> 5. Door C335 has been changed to a 20-minute assembly. Please see the attached revised <br /> door schedule. <br /> 6. The break-a-way sliding doors meet the criteria as stated in the UBC. Product data for <br /> this door has been included with this response for your review. We have highlighted the <br /> specification section regarding a positive latch. <br /> 7. Additional notes have been added to Window Type WE on sheet A8.02 to clarify the <br /> glazing criteria for this window. Also,similar notes have been added to Detail 16& <br /> 17/A8.02. <br /> Accessibility <br /> 1. All public restrooms and showers are to be ADA compliant.Also Isolation Patient Rooms <br /> C330&C332 are to be handicapped accessible. ADA compliant insulation requirements <br /> are included in specification section 15803,33S. We have added ADA compliant notes <br /> to the General Constniction Notes on each floor plan. See Construction note D on <br /> drawings A23B,A23BE&A2.3C. In most locations of concern the lavatory is a wall <br /> hung fixture. Cut sheets of these fixtures have been included herein for your review. <br /> Note that an ADA fixture Type 3A has been added. This is a Type 3 ADA lavatory with <br /> an ADA wrist blade faucet set. <br /> 2. Shower Rooms C326,B352,&B353 are required to be accessible. These rooms have a full <br /> waterproof membrane under their tile floor and each room has a general floor drain as <br /> well as a shower floor drain. In an effort to provide as much slope to drain as possible, <br /> the top of the tile at the door is set as high as allowable by code,see detail 8/A8.03. The <br /> thresholds of the showers have been set as high as possible for the same reason,see <br /> details 6&7/A8.03. Construction system note#35 has been added to the plans of these <br /> rooms to further clarify our intent.. See drawings A23B&A23C. <br /> 3. See item 2 above. <br /> 4. Section 1103.1.6 pertains to treatment and examination rooms. Section 1103.12 address <br /> the conditions/situations of the units in area C. To meet these criteria PEMC has <br /> designated Patient Rooms C330&332 as accessible rooms. Modifications have been <br /> made to the toilet rooms in these units to accommodate the lavatory clearance <br /> 0808,02revicw.doc <br />
