Sullivan Park Fire Station Conversion
Draft Environmental Assessment
6 SUMMARY LIST OF MITIGATION
MEASURES
• Construction activities on the Replacement Site would be consistent with
applicable City of Everett construction requirements related to hours of
construction and noise and air quality limits.
• Construction activities on the Replacement Site would be conducted
consistent with applicable City of Everett requirements related to
equipment emissions and dust.
• Construction activities on the Replacement Site would be conducted
consistent with applicable City of Everett requirements related to noise,
including limitations on the hours of construction.
• Replacement Site improvements would be made consistent with an
erosion and sedimentation control plan to address temporary and
permanent water pollution control measures, and would be
implemented in conformance with Best Management Practices.
• If resources of potential archaeological significance are encountered
during construction on the Replacement Site, the responsible project
manager would stop work immediately and notify the City of Everett and
Department of Archaeology and Historic Preservation so that an
appropriate evaluation and consultation can take place before
construction resumes.
• The Replacement Site improvements would formalize and improve
existing informal trail use, and decommission informal trails that are not
sited appropriately. Trail decommissioning could include tilling of the
trail beds, planting with native vegetation, and placement of natural
barriers(such as downed wood) across the decommissioned trail access
points, or as may be required per City of Everett regulations.
• The Replacement Site improvements would avoid adverse wetland
impacts through placement of features outside of wetlands and elevating
any necessary wetland-spanning trail segments.
• Replacement Site improvements would be concentrated in lowest-quality
parts of regulatory buffers and as far as possible from critical areas.
• Vegetation removal is minimized in the proposal, and any vegetation
removal in upland, wetland buffers or the wetland would be mitigated.
Page 42
