Upon completion of the work, the Contractor will be responsible for <br /> returning the Biosolids Pad staging areas and haul routes along the <br /> pad to their original condition at the start of the project. Any damage <br /> by the Contractors operations to the Biosolids Pad staging areas and <br /> haul routes along the Pad will be the responsibility of the Contractor <br /> to repair to the satisfaction of the City's Project Manager. <br /> E. Biosolids Weighing and Transportation <br /> 1. Transportation Equipment <br /> a. The Contractor shall provide all labor, equipment, and appurtenances <br /> necessary to perform and support the loading, transportation, and <br /> relocation of the biosolids from the dewatering operations staging area <br /> to the applicable location on the City's Biosolids Pad. This loading, <br /> transportation, and relocation work shall be incidental to the unit price <br /> bid for Dry Ton Removed, Dewatering, and Placed on the Biosolids <br /> Pad. <br /> b. Trucks shall be thoroughly cleaned after dumping the material with <br /> minimal solids left in the truck from the previous load. It shall be the <br /> Contractor's responsibility to clean up any biosolids on a daily basis <br /> that are deposited on the pad between the dewatering staging area <br /> and the storage area. <br /> 2. WPCF Truck Scale <br /> a. The City will provide a certified truck scale in close proximity to the <br /> dewatering staging area for the Contractor to use. The scale will be <br /> used to weigh loads as they are moved from the dewatering staging <br /> area to the storage area on the City's Biosolids Pad. The scale was <br /> last certified in November of 2020. <br /> b. All truckloads of biosolids transported from the dewatering staging <br /> area will be weighed and scale tickets will be provided to the <br /> Contractor upon request. <br /> c. Upon completion of the work, the Contractor will be responsible for <br /> returning the truck scale to its original condition at the start of the <br /> project. All damage to the truck scale will be the responsibility of the <br /> Contractor to repair to the satisfaction of the City's Project Manager. <br /> 1.8 BACKWASH SOLIDS REMOVAL <br /> A. Backwash Solids Return and Effects on Backwash Pond <br /> 1. Contractor shall return backwash centrate to the Backwash Pond using an <br /> above ground (contractor provided) centrate return line. This line shall run <br /> from the Backwash Solids Pad to the south end of the Backwash Pond. <br /> 00 7300 - 4 SPECIAL CONDITIONS <br />
