These comments <br /> address building issues only, additional revisions or additions may be required by other departments <br /> (such as Utilities, Planning or Fire). All references refer ro the 1994 Uniform Building Code, as <br /> amended by the State of Washington and/or Washington State Energy Code 1995 Edition, unless <br /> stated otherwise. <br /> In order for the prucessing of your application to continue, it will be necessary to <br /> provide the Building Divis�on with two complete new sets of drawings retlecting the <br /> corrections requested. <br /> NON STRUCTURAL <br /> General <br /> � <br /> \ / 1. The northern exrerior walls of the addition require construction and protection of openings <br /> V according to Table 5-A based on a 5' distance to the property line. The walls shall be a <br /> minimum of one-hour fire resistive construction. The glazing (two windows shown) is required <br /> to be a minimum of 3/4-hour, self-closing, fire-protection rating. Dctails and listings should be <br /> provided. <br /> , / 2. Additionally, no openings such as soffit or foundation vents shall be permitted on the northern <br /> � wall of the addition (unless 3/4 hour rated). A note should be added to the plans. <br /> � 3. The roof overhang on the North side of the addition shall not extend more than 12" beyond the <br /> exterior wall. Currently 18" is shown. Section 503.2.1 <br /> �4. A minimum of a 30" high Parapet is required on the Nonh end wall of the addition. Details <br /> � should be submitted showing the flashing, counter-flashing, and the fire-resistive construction. � <br /> Section 709.4 � <br /> I 5.
