ADDITIONAL NOTES:
•What is a composite sample? Composite sampling is utilized when testing wall systems(i.e.sheetrock,joint compound,
tape, texture). This technique allows the entire wall system to be analyzed as a single component. This can be beneficial
because while a single layer may have a high percentage of asbestos, the layer may only account for a small percentage of the
entire sample. This will often result in a significantly lower overal percentage of asbestos fibers, and bring the total under 1%.
NOTE,if the texture(surfacing material)is greater than or equal to 1%,the composite value is discarded and the sample is
considered'asbestos containing'. In this case,a point count analysis can be utilized.
•What is a point count? Point counting is a more accurate technique for counting asbestos fibers. When utilized, these
results will supercede the initial results. Point counting is used when the initial results were greater than 1%. Often if the
initial result is between 1-2%,the point counting technique will lower the result to under 1%. NOTE: Point counting is an
additional charge. The samples are held at the lab for 30 days, which limits the time you have to get existing samples point-
counted without incurring additional re-sampling fees.
INSPECTOR CERTIFICATION:
Certificate of C0131 tlietion
":timothy Klan-deo
Hob$at..qoakuit,
B W,40,,, a.-4,frekowa,fl >Ax`a rv, ,4
AHERA Building inspector
FSavRai,uu mu n. 3€7
Copywrite 2017
