• <br />SQUARE FOOT CONSTRUCTION COSTS .,b,c,d <br />MULTI -FAMILY, COMMERCIAL <br />The building valuation data figures below are published by the International Code Council. The fees are revised annually on January 1st. New <br />construction valuations will be calculated based on the factors in effect at the time of permit issuance (plan review and permit fees are not vested based <br />on the date of permit application). <br />Multiply the occupancy square footage by the type of construction cost to determine valuation. Add together all occupancy valutations to determine building valuation. <br />OCCUPANCY <br />TYPE OF CONSTRUCTION <br />Group 2012 International Buildin Code <br />IA <br />IB <br />IIA <br />IIB <br />IIIA <br />IIIB <br />IV <br />VA <br />VB <br />A-1 Assembly, theaters, with stage <br />229 <br />222 <br />216 <br />207 <br />195 <br />189 <br />200 <br />178 <br />171 <br />A-1 Assembly, theaters, without stage <br />210 <br />202 <br />197 <br />188 <br />176 <br />170 <br />181 <br />159 <br />152 <br />A-2 Assembly, nightclubs <br />178 <br />173 <br />168 <br />161 <br />152 <br />148 <br />156 <br />138 <br />133 <br />A-2 Assembly, restaurants, bars, banquet halls <br />177 <br />172 <br />166 <br />160 <br />150 <br />147 <br />155 <br />136 <br />132 <br />A-3 Assembly, churches <br />212 <br />204 <br />199 <br />190 <br />178 <br />172 <br />183 <br />161 <br />A-3 Assembly, general, community halls, libraries, museums <br />177 <br />169 <br />163 <br />155 <br />142 <br />137 <br />148 <br />125 <br />119 <br />A-4 Assembly, arenas <br />209 <br />201 <br />195 <br />187 <br />174 <br />169 <br />180 <br />157 <br />B Business <br />183 <br />176 <br />170 <br />162 <br />148 <br />142 <br />155 <br />129 <br />E Educational <br />192 <br />185 <br />180 <br />172 <br />161 <br />153 <br />166 <br />140 <br />136 <br />F-1 Factory and industrial, moderate hazard <br />109 <br />104 <br />98 <br />94 <br />84 <br />81 <br />90 <br />70 <br />65 <br />F-2 Factory and industrial, low hazard <br />108 <br />103 <br />98 <br />93 <br />84 <br />80 <br />89 <br />70 <br />64 <br />H-1 High Hazard, explosives <br />102 <br />97 <br />92 <br />87 <br />79 <br />74 <br />83 <br />64 <br />NP <br />H234 High Hazard <br />102 <br />97 <br />92 <br />87 <br />79 <br />74 <br />83 <br />64 <br />59 <br />H-5 HPM <br />183 <br />176 <br />170 <br />162 <br />148 <br />142 <br />155 <br />129 <br />124 <br />I-1 Institutional, supervised environment <br />183 <br />176 <br />171 <br />163 <br />151 <br />146 <br />163 <br />135 <br />131 <br />1-2 Institutional, hospitals <br />309 <br />302 <br />296 <br />287 <br />272 <br />NP <br />281 <br />254 <br />NP <br />1-2 Institutional, nursing homes <br />214 <br />207 <br />201 <br />193 <br />179 <br />NP <br />186 <br />161 <br />NP <br />1-3 Institutional, restrained <br />208 <br />202 <br />196 <br />187 <br />175 <br />168 <br />181 <br />156 <br />149 <br />1-4 Institutional, day care facilities <br />183 <br />176 <br />171 <br />163 <br />151 <br />146 <br />163 <br />135 <br />131 <br />M Mercantile <br />133 <br />128 <br />122 <br />116 <br />106 <br />103 <br />111 <br />92 <br />88 <br />R-1 Residential, hotels <br />184 <br />177 <br />173 <br />164 <br />152 <br />148 <br />164 <br />137 <br />133 <br />R-2 Residential, multiple family <br />154 <br />148 <br />143 <br />135 <br />123 <br />119 <br />135 <br />108 <br />103 <br />R-3 Residential, one- and two-family <br />144 <br />140 <br />137 <br />133 <br />128 <br />125 <br />131 <br />120 <br />113 <br />R-4 Residential, care/assisted living facilities <br />183 <br />176 <br />171 <br />163 <br />151 <br />146 <br />163 <br />135 <br />13, <br />S-1 Storage, moderate hazard <br />101 <br />96 <br />90 <br />86 <br />77 <br />73 <br />82 <br />62 <br />58 <br />S-2 Storage, low hazard <br />100 <br />95 <br />90 <br />85 <br />77 <br />72 <br />81 <br />62 <br />57 <br />U Utility, miscellaneous <br />78 <br />73 <br />69 <br />66 <br />59 <br />55 <br />63 <br />47 <br />45 <br />a.
