Appendix A <br /> EPMA Article 11 Differential <br /> "For sake of creating a clear record, the parties acknowledge it is their intention in this <br /> Agreement to create an appropriate wage differential between: a top step Sergeant (i.e., a <br /> length of service of 28 years or more) under the City's Collective Bargaining Agreement <br /> (CBA) with the Everett Police Officers Association and Lieutenants under this Agreement <br /> and the ranks of Lieutenant and Captain under this Agreement. <br /> To that end, the parties intend the wage package in this Agreement to reflect differentials in <br /> roughly the following percentages as compared to a top step Sergeant: <br /> • <br /> (i) Lieutenants: • <br /> • <br /> • 0 to 3 years at the rank of Lieutenant: 4% <br /> • 4 to 6 years at the rank of Lieutenant: 5.5% • <br /> • 7 or more years at the rank of Lieutenant: 6.5% <br /> (ii) Captains: <br /> • 0 to 3 years at the rank of Captain: 12% <br /> • 4 to 6 years at the rank of Captain: 13.5% <br /> • 7 or more years at the rank of Captain: 14,5% <br /> The formula the parties used to calculate the foregoing differential when comparing a top <br /> step Sergeant to a Lieutenant and a Captain is as follows: base salary+ longevity +holiday <br /> pay+deferred compensation." <br /> • <br /> • <br /> • <br /> • <br /> • <br /> EVERETT POLICE MANAGEMENT ASSOCIATION <br /> PAGE 33 <br />
