ARTICLE 4 -ASSOCIATION SECURITY <br /> 4.1 Association. <br /> 4.1.1 Upon promotion, all employees covered by this Agreement may become members <br /> of EPMA. The City agrees to deduct the specified amount of Union dues and <br /> initiation fees each pay period as directed by each employee and the Union. The <br /> City shall remit the total amount of Union deductions for all EPMA bargaining unit <br /> members to the bank account(s) specified by the Treasurer of EPMA. Provided, <br /> however, in order to comply with the United States Supreme Court's decision in <br /> Janus v. AFSCME, the City will not make any deduction from any employee's pay <br /> for Union dues without written documentation evidencing the employee's free and <br /> voluntary consent for said deduction. <br /> EVERETT POLICE MANAGEMENT ASSOCIATION <br /> PAGE 4 <br />
