Marine View Dr.
Preceding action:
Fund: I/A
Fiscal summary statement:
Consideration for the proposed easements is for mutual benefits to the Port of Everett and City
of Everett.
Project summary statement:
The Port of Everett is selling a parcel of land owned at 200 W. Marine View Drive for
development. The City owns abutting property and has access easement rights across the Port's
property. Due to a boundary line adjustment ("BLA") recorded by the Port of Everett in
anticipation of development at the Port's property that is to be sold, access to the City's property
would no longer be viable with the existing easement configuration. To preserve accessibility to
the City's property as a result of the BLA, the Port of Everett has worked with the City to draft
two easements. The first, an amended access agreement, which redefines the access to City
property from W. Marine View Drive to align with the BLA and development plans. The second,
an easement agreement, which preserves easement area from the original easement in
accordance with property boundaries defined under the BLA.
Recommendation (exact action requested of Council):
Authorize Mayor the execute easement agreements from Port of Everett to City for access to City
Property at the base of Alverson Bridge.
