4. The growth of Everett Community College and its positive impact on the City of Everett <br /> is an exceptional circumstance that supports a change in name, even though <br /> "Broadway" has been used for the street name for at least fifty years in general usage <br /> maps. <br /> S. The change of name does not conflict with maintaining sequential, numerical, <br /> alphabetical, or historical naming patterns. <br /> H. The City Council has held a public hearing and received public comment. <br /> NOW,THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED THAT: <br /> 1. The recitals above are hereby incorporated into this Resolution by this reference. <br /> 2. The City Council approves the change-of-name request. The portion of Broadway adjacent to <br /> Everett Community College and associated development extending from North Broadway to <br /> Tower Street, as shown on the attached map, is hereby renamed"Trojan Way." <br /> 3. The Mayor or designee is authorized to implement the name change. This name change is to be <br /> noted on all City official plats and maps and the City Clerk is hereby instructed to prepare and <br /> file a certified copy of this Resolution in the County Auditor's Office. <br /> Coun ilmember introducing resolution <br /> Passed and approved this 24th day of March, 2021. <br /> Co it President <br /> iz RESOLUTION Page 2 of 3 <br />
