306. On -call Construction Observation Support <br />At the direction of the City, Consultant will conduct on -site observations of the work in progress <br />to assist in determining if the work is proceeding in accordance with the contract documents. <br />Consultant will report to the City on activities performed by the contractor while onsite and advise <br />the City on work that does not meet the contract documents. <br />Consultant will prepare a report for each observation. Each report will detail the weather <br />conditions, observation hours, work description, discrepancies noted, discussions with contractor, <br />and any action items. Consultant will note the labor, equipment, and received materials. Specific <br />observations will also be included in additional detail when required, such as observation test <br />procedures. Photos may also be included. <br />Digital copies of the report will be submitted to the City for permanent file purposes. <br />This task does not include subconsultant observations. Those observations are included in their <br />respective sub -task in Task 310, Subconsultant Services. <br />Provided by the City <br />. The City will provide a full-time on -site inspector and will take the lead in administering <br />and managing the construction contract, on -site observations, and communicating with <br />the construction contractor. <br />■ City will provide direction to Consultant regarding involvement in on -site observations. <br />Assumptions <br />is <br />For budgeting purposes, it is assumed that Consultant will conduct on -site observations in <br />support of the City's inspector once per week, totaling 99 on -site observations Each site <br />visit is assumed to take an average of eight hours that includes time on -site and travel time. <br />Inspection data consolidation and analysis, report generation, and photo management are <br />expected to take about 1 5 hours per visit. <br />Special Inspections as required by IBC will be performed by a local materials inspection lab <br />hired by the City outside of this scope of work. <br />Technical support by other Consultant subject matter experts will be provided as needed <br />via phone and email to support the field staff. <br />Consultant Deliverables <br />® Reports for each construction observation <br />City of Everett <br />April 2021 <br />G:\PDX BD\Clients\Everett, WA\Reservoir 2 9-16 (16-1910)1Scope-Fee-Contract\Const.
