Maintain all excavations free from <br /> accumulation of detrimental quantities of leaves, brush, sticks, trash, and other debris. <br /> 2-03.3(2) Rock Cuts <br /> Delete entire section." <br /> 2-03.3(3) Excavation Below Subgrade <br /> ' Supplement 2-03.3(3) by adding the following: <br /> Proof Rolling: Proof roll subgrade under the roadway with a fully loaded tandem truck <br /> following trench backfilling and grading to subgrade to identify soft or loose areas in the <br /> ' subgrade. In areas where the subgrade does not stand up to the proof roll, over excavate <br /> the subgrade and replace with imported Foundation Material Class A or B or Gravel Borrow, <br /> as determined by the Engineer, to bring the subgrade up to the proper compaction and grade. <br /> ' Compact backfill material in accordance with 2-03.3(3). <br /> 2-03.3(7) Disposal of Surplus Material <br /> 2-03.3(7)C Contractor-Provided Disposal Site <br /> Delete the first paragraph of 2-03.3(7)C and substitute the following: <br /> Make arrangements for disposal of surplus and other materials. All costs for disposal of <br /> surplus and other materials shall be included with the respective Bid items of the <br /> ' Contract with no direct compensation being made. <br /> Dispose of Asbestos-cement pipe in accordance with the requirements of the State of <br /> Washington Department of Ecology and the Snohomish County Solid Waste Division. <br /> 2-03.4 Measurement <br /> Delete all paragraphs under 2-03.4 and substitute the following: <br /> Bid items of Work completed pursuant to the Contract Documents will be measured as described <br /> in Division B - Bid Items Descriptions and provided in Section 1-09 MEASUREMENT AND <br /> PAYMENT of the Standard Specifications. <br /> ' 2-03.5 Payment <br /> Delete all paragraphs under 2-03.5 and substitute the following: <br /> Payment for bid items of Work completed pursuant to the Contract Documents will be as <br /> ' described in Division B — Bid Item Descriptions of these Special Provisions and Section 1-09 <br /> MEASUREMENT AND PAYMENT of the Standard Specifications. <br /> There will be no direct compensation made for haul on material moved within or from the Project <br /> ' site and the Contractor shall include the cost of hauling in his various unit contract prices. <br /> There will be no direct compensation made for "Proof Rolling" as required in this section for <br /> excavated portions of the roadway and the Contractor shall include costs in his various unit <br /> Contract prices. <br /> Payment for over excavation below subgrade and disposal of over excavated materials as <br /> required in this section shall be included in the Bid item for Foundation Material. <br /> ' Imported material required in this section shall be paid for by the unit Bid price for that material. <br /> Payment for placement and compaction of import material shall be included in the unit price per <br /> ton of import material. <br /> 2-04 HAUL <br /> 2-04.1 Description <br /> Delete the first paragraph of 2-04.1 and substitute the following: <br /> SEI to SRI Intertie,SRO8 Rehab Division 2-EARTHWORK WO No.-UP3714 <br /> SP-131 <br /> I <br />
