CITY OF EVERETT SPECIAL PROVISIONS <br /> 8-01.3(2)D Mulching <br /> Supplement 8-01.3(2)D by adding the following: <br /> Apply wood cellulose fiber at the rate of 60 pounds per 1,000 square feet. ' <br /> 8-01.3(8) Street Cleaning <br /> Delete 8-01.3(8) and substitute the following: <br /> Provide self-propelled pickup sweepers equipped with water spray systems for dust control <br /> and designed and operated to meet air quality standards for pavement cleaning and debris <br /> removal as required. The use of supplementary water to suppress dust while performing <br /> cleaning Work shall be held to a minimum unless designated otherwise by the Engineer. <br /> Plan construction operation to minimize the need for street cleaning. <br /> Sweep streets and roadways as needed at least once per day. Sweep all roadway areas <br /> subject to construction traffic within the Project area and connecting streets, preferably <br /> during non-peak use hours of the Project site. More frequent cleaning may be required, as <br /> directed by the City's Inspector, as conditions warrant. <br /> Clean up spills immediately. Failure to clean streets or spills as required will result in City <br /> procuring street cleaning services, or cleaning streets themselves at City overtime rates. <br /> Either way, Contractor shall be responsible for reimbursing the City for cost incurred. If <br /> Contractor fails to promptly reimburse City then City will deduct cost, plus interest on unpaid <br /> balance, from Contractor's final payment. <br /> 8-01.3(9) Sediment Control Barriers <br /> 8-01.3(9)A Silt Fence ' <br /> Delete the fifth paragraph in 8-01.3(9)A and substitute the following: <br /> Provide steel posts consisting of U,T, L or C shape posts with a minimum weight of 1.35 <br /> lbs/ft, or other steel posts having equivalent strength and bending resistance to the posts <br /> listed. Provide silt fence conforming to COE Standard Drawing 214. <br /> 8-01.3(15) Maintenance <br /> Delete the fifth paragraph of 8-01.3(15). <br /> 8-01.3(16) Removal <br /> Revise the first paragraph of 8-01.3(16)to read as follows: <br /> The Contractor shall remove all temporary BMPs and all associated hardware from the <br /> project limits prior to Physical Completion unless otherwise approved by the Engineer. <br /> All permanent stabilization of disturbed areas shall be completed prior to removal of <br /> temporary BMPs <br /> At the request of the Contractor and at the sole discretion of the Engineer the CSWGP <br /> may be transferred back to the City. Approval of the Transfer of Coverage request will <br /> require the following: <br /> 1. All other Work required for Contract Completion has been completed. <br /> 2. Alt Work required for compliance with the CSWGP has been completed to <br /> the maximum extent possible. This includes removal of BMPs that are no longer <br /> needed and the site has undergone all Stabilization identified for meeting the <br /> requirements of Final Stabilization in the CSWGP. <br /> 3. An Equitable Adjustment change order for the cost of Work that has not <br /> been completed by the Contractor. <br /> 4.
