Doors 1-3/4" thick minimum use 4-1/2" hinges. <br />B. Each door shall have three (3) hinges. Doors 7'-6" in height and over shall have an <br />additional hinge for each 30" of additional height, or fraction thereof. <br />Page <br />C. Exterior doors over 3'-2" wide and/or 7'-6" high shall have heavy weight hinges. Hinges <br />shall be non-ferrous, non -removable stainless steel pins. <br />D. Hinges shall be sized in width to clear all trim. <br />2.5 LOCKSETS: <br />A. Locks and trim shall be the product of one manufacturer. <br />B. Functions are shown in hardware sets. <br />C. Provide 3/4" minimum latch throw for mortise locks, 1/2" throw for cylindrical locks, and <br />1" throw for deadbolts. <br />2.6 DOOR TOP ALARM SYSTEM <br />A. BEST SEDA System is to be supplied with door top sensor, power supplies, strobe alarms <br />and desk mounted console SEDA-DCR-36. <br />2.6 DOOR CLOSERS: <br />A. Door closers shall be fully adjustable type with complete spring power adjustment, sizes 2 - <br />6 and field adjustable according to door size and frequency of use. Closer shall have <br />adjustable back -check. <br />B. Where closers are indicated to be delayed action, provide units with adjustable delay. <br />C. Where doors are indicated to be accessible to the physically handicapped, provide units that <br />comply with ANSI Al 17.1 provisions for door opening force and delayed action for closing. <br />D. Provide all accessories for mounting required by door and frame types. <br />2.7 EXIT DEVICES: <br />A. Except on fire rated doors, equip exit devices with a dogging feature to hold the push bar <br />down and the latch bolt in the retracted position. <br />B. Where exit devices are required on fire rated doors, provide devices with UL label <br />indicating "Fire Exit Hardware". For doors without fire rating, provide devices listed for <br />"Panic Hardware". <br />2.8 DOOR TRIM UNITS: <br />A. Fabricate protection plates not more than 2" less than door width on stop side of door and <br />not less than I" less than door width on pull side of door. <br />B. Metal plates shall be of stainless steel and .050 or 18 ga. <br />
