Permanent cylinders will be supplied by the Owner. <br />PART 3 - EXECUTION <br />3.1 INSTALLATION: <br />A. Mount hardware units at heights indicated in "Recommended Locations for Builders <br />Hardware for Standard Steel Doors and Frames", by DHI. The local authority having <br />jurisdiction may have specific requirements that may apply. <br />B. Vision Panels: Mounting is custom. Panic hardware is to be mounted to clear vision panel <br />frames. The vision panel is to be located 40 inches maximum off finished floor, governed <br />by ADA regulations. <br />C. Install each hardware item in compliance with manufacturer instructions and <br />recommendations. Wherever cutting and fitting is required to install hardware onto or into <br />surfaces which are later to be painted or finished in another way, coordinate removal, <br />storage and reinstallation or application of surface protections. <br />D. Set all hardware plumb and true to locations specified in the installation instructions. <br />Set thresholds for exterior doors in a bed of butyl -rubber sealant. <br />E. Upon completion of installation, verify hardware has been installed in accordance with the <br />approved finish hardware schedule. Check hardware for proper placement and operation. <br />Hardware found to be incorrectly installed or damaged will be repaired or replaced. <br />F. Return to work one week prior to acceptance of occupancy and make final check and <br />adjustment of all hardware. Clean operating items as necessary to restore proper function <br />and finish of hardware and doors. Adjust door control devices to compensate for final <br />operation of air conditioning and ventilating equipment. Hardware to be found defective <br />shall be repaired or replaced. <br />G. Instruct Owner's personnel in proper adjustment and maintenance of hardware and finishes <br />during the final adjustment period. <br />
