The <br />response indicates improvements were made based on discussions during a walk-through with Tony <br />Lee and Ruben Sanchez. Tony's, field commentary is generally not meant to replace the code <br />requirements. That said, it appears the building is at or near full accessibility. Can you comment? The First and Second Floor Plans on Sheets Al. 1 and A1.2 include new doors that may not be <br />accessible. See IBC Section 1102.1, and references below to ICC A117.1-09 unless noted <br />otherwise. The following comments should be addressed: <br />a. Doors 110A and 113A do not provide a minimum 18-inch clearance per Figure 404.2.3.2(a). <br />Door 110A will not have a door closer. See plan for 18-inch clearance on Door 113A. <br />Drew (April 20, 2020): <br />The response states that Door 11 OA does not include a closer. However, the ICC Al 17.1-09 <br />Figure 404.2.3.2(a) requires an 18" clearance from the pull side regardless of whether a closer is <br />included. The door needs to be revised. <br />BNH Response: <br />See revised Architectural Sheet A1.1 Floor Plan for revised alcove at Door 11 OA. <br />e. Office 104 and Door 106A are new, with access provided by a stairway. The stairway is required <br />to include a landing with a minimum depth of 60 inches and a handle clearance of 18 inches per <br />ICC Al 17.1-09 Figure 404.2.3.2(a). Note that this is required even though a ramp is not <br />provided. <br />
