Please review and <br /> respond to the comments below. <br /> General <br /> 1. The cover sheet should show the occupancy types (R-3 & U), type of construction, floor <br /> area and pertinent construction codes. Section 107.2.1 <br /> 2. The type of sprinkler system to be installed in the building should be noted on the plans <br /> — they currently show an option between NFPA or NFPA 13-R. The different sprinkler <br /> types produce different outcomes in the plan review. Section 903.2.8 <br /> 3. An NFPA-72 fire alarm is required for this structure as it is over 3000 square feet in area. <br /> City of Everett Chapter 16.76 <br /> 4. The general notes that refer to the IRC should be revised to the IBC. Section 107.2.1 <br /> 5. The exterior walls (each story) facing the N & S property lines should be shown as <br /> minimum one-hour, fire-resistive construction (symmetrical) — the wall and building <br /> sections should reference the (un-marked) 1-hour exterior wall detail provided on Sheet <br /> 7. Sections 602 &705.5 <br /> 6. The outboard steel columns should be shown with minimum one-hour fire-resistive <br /> protection. A listing and detail should be provided. Section 705.5 <br /> 7. The steel beams and inboard steel column should be covered by minimum 1/2" GWB. A <br /> detail should be provided. Section 406.3.4.1 <br />
