Response: • The 90° bend in the water main at the intersection of Drives B and C has been updated to two 450 bends. • Two gate valves have been added on either side of the fire hydrant connection near the west end of Drive C. • All construction notes referencing a I" fire service have been updated to reference a 2" fire service. • The thrust block will remain for the fire hydrant connection at STA 31 +95.20 along Drive C in order to use an MJ tee. • The water main near the intersection of Drives C and E has been adjusted in order to keep the fire service lines for buildings C and D under the 70 foot maximum length. • A note has been added to state that connection to the existing water main shall be performed by City crews. • A note has been added to state that COE utility crews shall have access to the mechanical rooms from 7:30am to 4:OOpm, Monday through Friday. viii. Sheet C5.02. Response: • All construction notes referencing a I" fire service have been updated to reference a 2" fire service. • The fire service for building H has been shifted to the east and a vault will be added in the planter. • A note has been added to state that connection to the existing water main shall be performed by City crews. • A note has been added stating the contractor shall pothole along Chestnut Street to verify location of 8" water main. ix. Sanitary Sewer Minimum slope for sanitary sewer main is 0.75%, revise sewer main design so minimum slope of new sewer main is 0.75%. Response: Sanitary sewer main has been updated to a minimum slope of 0.75%. b. Surface Water Detention pipe - corrugated steel detention pipe is not allowed. See Drawing 418 of the COE Design and Construction Standards and Specifications (DCSS) for acceptable pipe materials. Response: All references to CMP have been removed from the civil plans. A note has been added to reference COE Std. Dwg. 418. Minimum connecting pipe diameter is 48-inches between detention pipes. Connecting pipe IE's shall be level with vault.
