Riverview Apartments <br />Response to Design Review Comments, Public Works <br />CPH No. 0024-17-037 <br />Decembe 2 2018 <br />Response: The pipe diameter for connecting pipes between detention tanks and adjacent <br />structures has been updated to a minimum of 48-inches. The detention tanks and connecting <br />pipes contain matching lFs. <br />iii. Bottom of detention pipes shall be level and inlet and outlet pipe inverts shall match <br />bottom of vault elevation. <br />Response: The bottom of the detention tanks are level and the inlet and outlet pipe inverts <br />match the IE of the detention tanks. <br />iv. Raise outlet of control structures by 6-inches to provide sediment storage. Revise modeling <br />calcs for updated elevations. <br />Response: The lFs for the outlet control structures are currently 6-inches higher than the IE's of <br />the detention tanks to provide 6-inches of sediment storage. The WWHM models have been <br />updated to reflect the 6-inches of sediment storage by raising the lower orifice to 0.5-feet <br />within the model. <br />V. See also the requirements of Section 4-4.4(2) of the DCSS. <br />Response: The detention tanks have been designed per the requirements of Section 4-4.4(2) of <br />the DCSS. <br />vi. Swap out the flow charts in Appendix B with those from the 2010 COE SWMM manual. <br />The 2010 Manual applies in the combined sewer area. Minimum requirements 1-9 <br />except #6) still apply. <br />Response: The flow charts in Appendix B of the Drainage Report have been updated with <br />those from the 2010 COE SWMM manual. <br />vii. Delete the IE of 92.4 in detail Section A, Drawing C3.20. <br />Response: The IE of 92.4 has been deleted in detail Section A of C3.20. <br />viii. Do not connect 1 8° storm drain to structure SSMH#21271. This is the Hayes Street <br />Regulator structure, not a manhole structure.
