Page j1 <br /> EVERETT STATION - PURPOSE AND RULES OF CONDUCT <br /> Everett Station is the City of Everett's multi-modal transportation facility. <br /> Although Everett Station services benefit the general public, it is not an open <br /> public forum. Use of the station for other than transit-related activities is <br /> prohibited without prior written authorization from the City of Everett Director of <br /> Transportation and Transit Services or his designee. The following conduct is <br /> prohibited: <br /> 1. Any activity prohibited by law, regulation, or Everett Transit or Everett <br /> Station policy. <br /> 2. Selling, using, or possessing illegal drugs. <br /> 3. Verbally or physically threatening, intimidating or harassing others. <br /> Examples of this conduct include carrying, exhibiting or displaying any <br /> weapon apparently capable of producing bodily harm in a manner or <br /> under circumstances that either manifests an intent to intimidate another <br /> or that warrant alarm for the safety of other persons; using offensive <br /> language; and engaging in behavior that is consistent with the definition of <br /> "stalking" in state law and city code. <br /> 4. Offensive touching of oneself or another person. <br /> 5. Engaging in any obscene act. <br /> 6. Stealing, damaging or misusing the property of any person, business or <br /> governmental agency. <br /> 7. Fighting, running, pushing, shoving, intentionally bumping into others, or <br /> any other aggressive, annoying or disruptive physical contact. <br /> 8. Unreasonably disturbing others by shouting, yelling, hooting, whistling or <br /> singing. <br /> 9. Throwing objects at vehicles, property, or persons, or intentionally <br /> dropping objects from the upper floors of Everett Station. <br /> 10. Engaging in sports or other recreational activities that interfere, obstruct or <br /> impede traffic or any other intended use of Everett Station, including but <br /> not limited to catch, tag, kicking a soccer ball or throwing a football. <br /> 11. Causing loud or repetitive noise that unreasonably disturbs others or <br /> violates EMC Chapter 20.08, Noise Control. For example, using audio <br /> devices without headphones or with headphones set at a volume that <br /> unreasonably disturbs others. Audio devices include, but are not limited <br /> to, amplifiers, musical instruments, gaming devices, computer, car radios <br /> or any other device capable of producing sound. <br /> 12. Using restrooms for resting, sleeping, bathing, shampooing, doing laundry, <br /> or changing clothes. <br /> 13. Camping. <br /> 14. Bringing or allowing pets or other animals, with the exception of service <br /> animals, onto Everett Station property that are not in a suitable pet carrier <br /> and under the control of its owner or handler at all times. Dogs may be on <br /> a leash of not more than six feet in length, and its handler must be of <br /> sufficient size to properly control the animal.
