er <br /> ORDINANCE NO. 3866 <br /> AN ORDINANCE annexing certain property to the City of <br /> Everett, and declaring an emergency. <br /> WHEREAS, pursuant to petition, the Commissioners of <br /> Snohomish County, Washington, did hold a special election on <br /> the 16th day of January, 19b2, on the proposition of the <br /> annexation of certain property to the City of Everett, and <br /> WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners have entered <br /> a finding concerning the canvassing and return of vote on said <br /> issue and filed a certified copy of such findings with the <br /> City Clerk of the City of Everett together with a certified <br /> abstract of the vote showing the whole number who voted at the <br /> election, the number of votes cast for annexation and the <br /> number cast against annexation, and <br /> WHEREAS, said certified abstract shows 410 votes <br /> for annexation and 259 votes against annexation, and <br /> WHEREAS, the City Commissioners of the City of Everett <br /> desire to annex said territory to the City of Everett . <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY OF EVERETT DOES ORDAIN: <br /> SECTION 1: That the property hereinafter described be, <br /> and the same is hereby annexed on the 27th day of February , <br /> 1962 to the City of Everett, a municipal corporation: <br /> Beginning at the intersection of the north line <br /> of Section 32, T 29 N, R 5 E.W.M. and a line 100 ft . <br /> east of the east line of Evergreen Cemetery as platted, <br /> thence easterly along the said north line of said <br /> Section 32 to a point of intersection with the center <br /> of the channel of the Snohomish River as said channel <br /> is defined by the Harbor Lines established Dec . 23, <br /> 1910 by the United States Government, thence upstream <br /> following the center of said Snohomish River to its <br /> intersection with the west line of Gov't . Lot 5, Sec . <br /> 5, T 28 N, R 5 E.W.M. produced northerly; thence <br /> southerly along the northerly production of the west <br /> line of said Gov't. Lot 5 and along the west line of <br /> said Gov't . Lot 5 and said west line produced southerly <br /> to an intersection with the east line of the vacated <br /> portion of Plat of Smith's First Addition; thence <br /> southerly along the east line of the vacated portion <br /> of Plat of Smith's First Addition to the southeast <br /> corner of Block 48 of said vacated portion of Plat of <br /> Smith's First Addition; thence southwesterly along <br /> the south line of said Block 48 to an intersection with <br /> the west line of the east 1/2 of NE 1/4 of Section 5, <br /> T 28 N, R 5 E.W.M. ; thence southerly along said west <br /> line of said subdivision to the east-west center line of <br /> said Section 5; thence easterly along the east-west <br /> centerline of said Section 5 and the east-west center <br /> line of Section 4, T 28 N, R 5 E.W.M. to the center <br /> line of said Section 4; thence southerly along the <br /> center line of said Section 4 and the center line of <br /> Section 9, T 28 N, R 5 E.W.M. to the south line of <br /> said Section 9, thence westerly along the south line <br /> of said Section 9 and the south line of Section 8, <br /> T 28 N, R 5 E.W.M. to the north-south center line of <br /> said Section 8; thence northerly along the north-south <br />
