IN NM 11111 MI Ell Mill IIIIII MIN Mill
Bidder Comments Form
Document Title: Replacement of Reservoir 2 Bidder Question Log Date: 2/23/2021
Item
No. Dwg/Fig No. Reviewer's Comments _ Comment by Designer's Response
Drawings,Specs,Report or Other Document(Refer to document below in Comments)
ENTER SHEET
NUMBER OR SPEC - -
NUMBER BIDDER COMMENTS COMPANY RESPONSE
I am finding a large deficit in the earthwork quantity due to the fill quantity for Reservoir See updated o171 with clarifying note in Addendum No.3
Where exactly is the City seeing an export of 10,000 CY?The fill of Reservoir 2 is pretty
substantial based on the demo profile view.We have a need to Import for this project, not any Graham
export of dirt.Any information regarding fill would be helpful.
On plan sheet C420 there is a callout for an air and vacuum valve assembly on the 24"steel Air Vac Assembly to be 1-inch
outlet line of the West Reservoir.Note 6 calls for the assembly to be per City of Everett detail
512.This detail is for a 1 inch air/vac assembly. This detail says any air/vac assembly of another HD Fowler
size shall be designed and approved by the City. Please provide a size and design for this
assembly if it is In fact larger than 1 Inch.
I'd like to submit our F1 Restrained Expansion Joint for this bid.It meets all of the specifications Expansion joints to be per specification.
laid out in the project document, except for the expansion requirement. The specification says
that for 12"nominal sizes they require 8"of expansion, and for greater than 12"they require
16"of expansion.
Just a couple of thoughts on this requirement. In my experience, sometimes the specifications Romac
are written for extreme scenarios and the project may not require that much linear expansion.
The other scenario I've run across is that in some cases it is the offset which is actually the most
critical, not Just the linear expansion, and we can make the F1 to accommodate 4"to 20"offset.
There are two hatch openings on each tank,a 12'x14 equipment hatch and a 4'x10'access hatch. The 4'x10'access hatch is located
In detail 3 on drawing Ell we the hatch openings and it appears to be one on the North Tank next to the overflow pipe, requiring an overflow switch.Detail 3 on Ell shows the required electrical layout for each hatch.
and one on the South Tank? Please let us know if there is one hatch opening on the south tank Dalton Electric
and one on the north tank,or is there 2 hatches on the north tank and 2 on the south tank?
In detail 1 on drawing E3 it only shows 1 conduit going up to 1 junction box on each of the tanks. Conduit shall be run from the 1-box to each hatch.Response to the above question shall clarify what equipment is at each hatch.
Please show/identify the conduit going to the second hatch on each of the tanks if there are 2 Dalton Electric Contractor shall determine most efficient route in field.
hatches on each tank?Please clarify?
Pertaining to the storage facility footings.Sheet No.95 Building Sections show footings on all Sheet No.95 Building Sections shows a continous"enlarged"footing along the complete perlmeterr of the building, supporting the
four corners of the structure with one interior footing.Sheet No.94 plan view shows them at exterior CMU wall. The Interior footing is for the total extent of the interior 2x6 framing running"front to back"of the building. In
two corners,at two intermediate locations, and one interior footing. Please clarify the storage Walsh Group addition to the typical perimeter footing that is 1'-6"wide(as represented In the sections on Sheet No.95),there are(4)locations
facility footing locations. where the footing is increased to a 4'-0"square for the bridge crane, beneath the CMU pilasters. These locations are shown on the
plan on Sheet No.94 and in detail 1/SF8.
Please clarify which detail is associated with which footing of the storage facility.Sheet No.95 There are no"corner footings"for the storage facility. The"Exterior Footing Detail"Det 5 on Sheet 97 is to be used along the
calls out Detail 5 on Sheet No.97 to be used for the corner footings.Detail 1 on Sheet No.98 Walsh Group complete perimeter of the building.Detail 1 on Sheet 98"Typical Pilaster Footing Detail"is to be used to"enlarge"the footing
calls out a larger footing for the Pilaster footings at four locations.Sheet No.94 shows only two where the 4-CMU pilasters are located, found on Sheet No.94
locations called out.
Drawing C490(sheet 47 of 126)shows a match line to drawing C480.There does not appear to See updated C490 in Addendum No 3
be a drawing C480 included in the drawing set. Please confirm C480 is not meant to be included Walsh Group
in the drawing set.
On plan sheet C621 the 6"and 8"drain lines are called out in the profiles as ductile iron but on Hd-Fowler
detail sheets CD5 and CD6 they are labelled as PVC.Please clarify. _ See updated C621 In Addendum No 3
