Bidder Comments Form
Document Title: Replacement of Reservoir 2 Bidder Question Log Date: 2/23/2021
Item
No. Dwg/Fig No. Reviewer's Comments Comment by Designer's Response
Drawings,Specs,Report or Other Document(Refer to document below in Comments)
ENTER SHEET
NUMBER OR SPEC
NUMBER BIDDER COMMENTS COMPANY RESPONSE
Crushed rock layer directly beneath the reservoir can be increased to 6"thick,as long as related thicknesses are not decreased in
the process.
1)Drawing CD2(sheet 55)—The crushed rock layer per KN E directly beneath the reservoir floor
slab is shown to be 3"thick.There are 2 constructability concerns with this thin layer beneath
the slab.A)We will be unable to obtain compaction on a 3"thick layer and 2)Due to the mat
slab being 18"thick we need to be able to set grade stakes and bulk head stakes to a depth of Ward Henshaw
8". Please clarify that during construction this layer can be increased to a minimum of 6"and
that it will also be acceptable to drive these stakes beyond this layer a few inches Into the drain
rock below. We will not puncture the liner, however,we need to be able to drive our stakes to
a minimum depth of 8-9 inches within the floor slab area during concrete placement.
Drawing C120 Key Note 13 and referenced drawing M6 calls out a specific style of staff Blocking out roof penetrations is acceptable.
gauge. For bidding purposes there are no details or noted clarifications we can find for the
type of roof penetration required for this gauge. We assume it's acceptable to block-out the Ward Henshaw
roof penetrations)In the roof slab per manufacturers acceptance rather than core drilling
after the roof Is placed. If core drilling is required please clarify.
IIIIII E E - - MN M M E — - - MO M — MN E w
