8. Yard Piping and Fittings
<br /> Measurement and Payment: Lump Sum
<br /> Payment for Yard Piping and Fittings shall be at the lump sum price named in the
<br /> Proposal, which payment shall constitute full compensation for all material,
<br /> labor and equipment, complete and in place, for work necessary to install all
<br /> water, sewer and drain piping, overflow piping and manholes including, but
<br /> 111
<br /> not limited to, trench excavation, furnishing and installing pipe, valves, fire
<br /> hydrant assemblies, fittings and appurtenances, bedding and backfill,
<br /> compaction, HMA trench patch, surface restoration, thrust restraint, testing, I
<br /> disinfection, flushing and dechlorination of water used for flushing and
<br /> cleanup. Excluded from this bid item are ring and foundation drains, concrete
<br /> thrust blocking, and thrust restraint on existing piping, included in other bid I
<br /> items.
<br /> Progress payments for Yard Piping will be based on the percentage of this Work I
<br /> completed, as approved by the OWNER.
<br /> Two, 2.5 MG Prestressed Concrete Tanks (AWWA D110, Type I) &
<br /> Accessories
<br /> Measurement and Payment: Lump Sum I
<br /> Payment for two, 2.5 MG Prestressed Concrete Tanks (AWWA D110, Type I) &
<br /> Accessories shall include all costs for constructing both, 2.5 MG Prestressed
<br /> Concrete Tanks (AWWA D110, Type I), including all internal and external
<br /> accessories, as shown and described in the Contract Documents in order to make
<br /> the project complete. Payment shall be based on the lump sum unit price named I
<br /> in the Proposal, which payment shall be considered full compensation for all tools,
<br /> equipment, materials, manufacturing, transporting, delivering, handling, storing,
<br /> installation, and labor required for constructing, coating, testing, disinfecting, I
<br /> flushing, dechlorination, and disposal of disinfecting water for both 2.5 MG
<br /> Prestressed Concrete Tanks. Payment shall include all excavation, disposal of
<br /> excess material, imported backfill material, ring and foundation drain piping,
<br /> underlain liners and geotextiles, hydrodynamic mixing system, overflow, interior
<br /> staircase, exterior staircase, and walkway connecting the two reservoirs.
