I i 1 EN PUBLIC WORKS' 11 EVERETT WASHINGTON ADDENDUM NO. 1 ' TO WATER MAIN REPLACEMENT V W.O. # UP-3730 1 APRIL 14, 2021 NOTICE TO PLANHOLDERS: Addendum No. 1 contains the following revisions, additions, deletions and clarifications and is hereby made a part of the contract documents for the above named Project and shall be considered by all prospective bidders in submitting bids. Bidders must acknowledge receipt of Addendum No. 1 in the space provided on page SP-20 in Division P, Proposal Form. Failure to comply with this requirement may render the Bid non- responsive and may cause its rejection. This Addendum consists of 36 pages, including all revisions, attachments and details. The Bid date, time and location for receipt of Bids are unchanged by this Addendum. THE CONTRACT DOCUMENTS ARE MODIFIED AS FOLLOWS: SPECIAL PROVISIONS - IReplace pages SP-174 to SP-184 and SP-199 to SP-207, per the attached. The following items have been revised: Page SP-174 to SP-175, Division 7, section 7-09.3(21); revised as follows: 7-09.3(21) Thrust Blocking Revise the first sentence of the first paragraph to read as follows: Place concrete thrust blocking, as noted on the Plans and described in these Special Provisions, at bends where new ductile iron pipe connects to existing cast iron pipe. Supplement 7-09.3(21) by adding the following: Provide mechanical joint restraining on all fittings connecting ductile iron 1 pipe to ductile iron pipe.
