Additional costs are anticipated as <br />support of vaccination efforts continue. These agreements would allow the City to <br />submit those costs to be reimbursed by Federal funds at 100%. <br />The reimbursement will be allocated back to the funds where the contributed labor was <br />originally budgeted as follows (as of 6/10/2021): <br />Fund 032 Fire: $394,462.89 <br />Fund 153 EMS: $214,864.40 <br />Total $609,327.29 <br />Project summary statement: <br />Beginning in January 2021, the Everett Fire Department has been supporting COVID-19 <br />vaccination efforts by providing overtime and regular time labor for planning efforts, <br />staffing of mass vaccination sites, and staffing mobile and pop-up vaccination clinics. <br />Costs incurred between January 21, 2021, and July 20, 2021, may be reimbursed with <br />FEMA funds if they are related to an eligible vaccination activity. The reimbursements <br />are processed through the Snohomish Health District using the guidance included in the <br />Interlocal Agreement and Business Associate Agreement. <br />Recommendation (exact action requested of Council): Authorize the Mayor to sign the <br />Interlocal Agreement and the Business Associate Agreement with the Snohomish Health <br />District to pursue reimbursement of COVID-19 vaccination related costs. <br />
