The source of funds is CIP 1. The South Police Precinct — Locker <br />Room Renovation Project is an identified project in the CIP 1 funding model and the <br />2019 Facilities Condition Assessment. <br />The Funding Ordinance amount of $30,000 includes all costs related to the professional <br />services for the design, construction documents, and construction administration of the <br />project. <br />The estimated total project cost is $400,000. Staff will be coming back to Council to <br />amend the funding ordinance after competitive construction bids have been received. <br />Project summary statement: <br />The South Police Precinct tenant improvements were originally constructed in 2001. <br />The 21-year-old 2,709 square foot men's and women's locker areas have been heavily <br />used by multiple shifts of patrol officers. The locker areas include (129) lockers, (3) <br />showers and (8) toilets. The renovations will include flooring replacement, ceramic tile <br />replacement, shower and toilet fixture replacements, and painting. <br />The anticipated completion of the design and construction documents is August 31, <br />2021. Staff will be coming back to Council to amend the funding ordinance after <br />competitive construction bids have been received. <br />Recommendation (exact action requested of Council): <br />Adopt an Ordinance creating a special improvements Project entitled "South Police <br />Precinct - Locker Room Renovation Project", Fund 342, Program 032, to accumulate all <br />costs for the project. <br />
