The source of funds is CIP 1. The South Police Precinct — Locker Room Renovation Project is an identified project in the CIP 1 funding model and the 2019 Facilities Condition Assessment. The Funding Ordinance amount of $30,000 includes all costs related to the professional services for the design, construction documents, and construction administration of the project. The estimated total project cost is $400,000. Staff will be coming back to Council to amend the funding ordinance after competitive construction bids have been received. Project summary statement: The South Police Precinct tenant improvements were originally constructed in 2001. The 21-year-old 2,709 square foot men's and women's locker areas have been heavily used by multiple shifts of patrol officers. The locker areas include (129) lockers, (3) showers and (8) toilets. The renovations will include flooring replacement, ceramic tile replacement, shower and toilet fixture replacements, and painting. The anticipated completion of the design and construction documents is August 31, 2021. Staff will be coming back to Council to amend the funding ordinance after competitive construction bids have been received.
