Judy T -Everyone should be vaccinated. Any time after Governor says ok. Would be ok as long as the message
was clear to community why they could not come in, as long as there is a timeline for returning the staff, and
Council, and a place for them to go to observe. Not comfortable at this time with going to remote on the day
meeting but would consider a night meeting being a remote meeting. Yes would love to see both absolutely.
Deb — Ready to go back to chambers any time. I believe most have had their vaccine but still comfortable if
any have not. I would not want to go back if the community members were told they could not. I think there
is an expectation to be able to communicate and visual perception with elected officials. I love the idea of
doing 4th meeting remotely only but also would love to continue to do remote and in person comments both.
Believe that having both you reach the entire city and believe that this will be especially important and good to
solidify process especially as we move into districts. I like the idea of moving back into the chambers after the
Labor Day holiday because all the city would be transitioning into kids back in school, more and more business
allowing community members. Would encourage us to go sooner if more business do as I believe we should
lead by example.
6-17-21 SURVEY: AIM FOR JULY RETURN TIME. NO MASKS REQUIRED. ALL VACCINATED WOULD PREFER NO
MASK BUT JEFF (HE PREFERS TO WEAR MASK REGARDLESS).
NO PLEXIGLASS ON DIAZ. WOULD LIKE PLEXIGLASS AROUND SPEAKER PODIUM, WITH SANISTATION BESIDE IT.
COUNCIL STAFF WILL CLEAN MIKE AFTER EACH SPEAKER.
PREFER SPEAKER GIVE NAME AND CITY ONLY. NO PHYSICAL ADDRESS. THOSE IN PERSON IN THE CHAMBER
CAN FILL OUT SPEAKER SHEET.
AIR QUALITY IN THE CHAMBERS: EITHER COVID FUNDS OR PEG FUNDS AS THE AIR CONDITIONING AND
CIRCULATION ON THE DIAZ CHALLENGING. SOME COMMUNITY MEMBERS SITTING WITH MASKS.
YES TO VIRTUAL COMMUNITY MEMBERS CALL IN BUT WANT TO SEE FACES AND WOULD LIKE STAFF MOVE
THEM IN TO MEETING LIKE OTHER CITIES, LYNNWOOD, EDMONDS, SNOHOMISH COUNTY.
DISCUSSION OVER REMOTE MEETINGS: CONSIDERATIONS: MEDICAL SITUATION WHERE CAN ATTEND BUT
CANT PHYSICALLY GET TO CHAMBER, CHILD CARE ISSUES, WHO POLICES WHEN THEY CAN. WHO IS
RESPONSIBLE FOR MAKING SURE ADDITIONAL MEASURES WITH ELECTED SUCH AS ABILITY FOR COMMUNITY
ACCESS, STAFF AND COLLEAGUES DIALOGUE, ADDITIONAL EFFORT TO MOVE COMMUNITY MEMBERS WOULD
STAFF BE STRECHED TO THIN?
POLICE RESPONSE: NO TO BEING THE MASK POLICE. USUAL PRESENCE SAME AS PRECOVID, NO ADDITIONAL
EXPECTATIONS. IS THERE A SECURITY PLAN IN PLACE (ONE WAS BEING WORKED ON BUT UNKNOWN IF
COMPLETED).
